Intra-gastric fastening devices

Intra-gastric fastening devices are disclosed herein. Expandable devices that are inserted into the stomach of the patient are maintained within by anchoring or otherwise fixing the expandable devices to the stomach walls. Such expandable devices, like inflatable balloons, have tethering regions for attachment to the one or more fasteners which can be configured to extend at least partially through one or several folds of the patient's stomach wall. The fasteners are thus affixed to the stomach walls by deploying the fasteners and manipulating the tissue walls entirely from the inside of the organ. Such fasteners can be formed in a variety of configurations, e.g., helical, elongate, ring, clamp, and they can be configured to be non-piercing. Alternatively, sutures can be used to wrap around or through a tissue fold for tethering the expandable devices. Non-piercing biased clamps can also be used to tether the device within the stomach.

Device and method for achieving minitype CPT atomic clock physical system

The invention discloses a device for achieving a minitype CPT atomic clock physical system. The device comprises a Bias-Tee, a VCSEL, a first quarter wave plate, an atomic gas chamber, a second quarter wave plate, a polarization beam splitter, a first photoelectric detector and a second photoelectric detector. The invention further discloses a method for achieving the minitype CPT atomic clock physical system. Elliptically-polarized light is adopted for resonance with atom CPT, and difference detection is conducted on the optical rotation effect generated by the resonance. According to the device and method for achieving the minitype CPT atomic clock physical system, background noise generated by optical frequency components which do not interact with atoms in multi-color light output by the VCSEL and conversion noise generated by light interacting with the atoms due to light frequency jitter which is converted into signal amplitude jitter through action with the atoms are eliminated, and the signal to noise ratio of CPT resonance signals is greatly increased; in addition, the device and the method further have the advantages that the influence on the obtained CPT resonance signals by environment magnetic field intensity fluctuation is small, and laser frequency stabilization can be easily achieved through an achieved atomic clock.

Flow field plate for reduced pressure drop in coolant

The pressure drop associated with the coolant flow in the coolant transition regions of a typical high power density, solid polymer electrolyte fuel cell stack can be significant. This pressure drop can be reduced by enlarging the height of the coolant ducts in this region of the associated flow field plate so that the ducts extend beyond the plane of the plate. The height change can be accommodated by offsetting the ducts in adjacent cells in the stack and by employing non planar MEAs in this region. By reducing the pressure drop, improved coolant flow sharing is obtained.

An ink supplying container is disclosed. In the ink supplying container, when the internal pressure of an ink container is made a positive pressure which is higher than atmospheric pressure so that nozzles of a recording head are cleaned and recovered by discharging a small amount of ink, a volume control unit restrains a flexible member of the ink container from expanding. When the internal pressure of the ink container is made a negative pressure optimal for printing which is lower than the atmospheric pressure so that a letter and / or an image is printed on a recording medium by the recording head, the volume control unit does not restrain the flexible member from expanding, and the volume of the ink container is maintained at almost the same volume as that at the time when the internal pressure of the ink container is made the positive pressure.
