Color filter substrate, liquid crystal display apparatus including color filter substrate, and method of manufacturing color filter substrate

A color filter substrate and a liquid crystal display apparatus include, on a substrate: a colorized layer including color layers; a stacked layer protruding in comparison with the colorized layer; an opposing electrode covering the colorized layer and the stacked layer; an alignment layer formed at least on a part of the opposing electrode covering the colorized layer; and an insulating layer stacked on an entire surface of another part of the opposing electrode covering the stacked layer. With this, the short circuit between the opposing electrode and a pixel electrode is prevented, so that a color filter substrate, a liquid crystal display apparatus including the color filter substrate, and a method of manufacturing the color substrate, those being able to improve the yield of the liquid crystal display apparatus, are provided.

Optimisation mechanism for frequency reuse

The present invention describes a network planning mechanism for the optimisation of system quality associated with frequency reuse for a mobile network infrastructure and business access applications, by using an intelligent combination of microwave point-to-point and point-to-multipoint links in Broadband Wireless Access Systems or LMDS, for example. In an embodiment of the invention, Radio Base Stations (RBSs) sites can be connected to the Switch site by a combination of fibre optics, leased lines, or preferably microwave radio links. The embodiment enables traffic from several end sites to be concentrated at selected hub sites (hub site 1-4). The system is optimised by minimizing the quality degradation that can be experienced due to excessive interference inside a certain portion of the point-to-multipoint covered sector by means of the combined point-to-multipoint and point-to point solutions. The RBS, which on the planning phase will experience excessive interference in the direction to the hub, is not directly connected the point-to-multipoint hub, but through a point-to-point link connecting to an access terminal, co-located with a different RBS or business user, in line of sight with the previous one. The access terminal in turn connects the point-to-multipoint hub allowing a frequency reuse factor of one to be deployed.

Drum commutator and method for producing the same

The invention relates to a drum commutator comprising a cylinder-shaped support base (1) produced from an insulating pressed material, a plurality of metal conductor segments (3) with terminal lugs (8) disposed thereon and an equal amount of carbon segments (4) that are electrically connected to the conductor segments (3). The drum commutator, adjacent to the terminal lugs (8), further comprises an annular, closed substantially regularly cylindrical surface (19) with alternating pressed material zones and metal zones, as well as a metallized inner surface of the carbon segments (4) that communicates with the support base (1). When producing such a drum commutator, the conductor segments (3) are preferably first connected to a conductor blank via bridge portions which are removed once the conductor blank has been assembled with a carbon cylinder and the support base has been injection-molded onto it.

Fetal electrode assembly and fetal electrode

An electrode assembly comprising a fetal electrode (1) that is connected to a drive tube (31) by a torque limiting connection (30). The connection allows the drive tube to separate from the electrode hub once a predetermined torque has been reached. The electrode hub is also provided with a deflection surface (9) that deflects the drive tube away from the fetal electrode into the hand of the operator, as rotation of the drive tube continues beyond the point of disconnection. Features are also provided to make the fetal electrode more compact and to optimise the fECG signal recorded on the electrode wires (5, 9).

Interactive display synchronisation

A system (100) provides synchronised content between participants (20, 30) in a presentation (e.g. conference call) using a presenter component without the need to download and install additional software or plug-ins. A method for synchronising content between two or more digital content Tenderers (40) comprises: Receiving over a first communication channel a first communication indicating a change in content rendered on a first digital content renderer. Transmitting over the first communication channel to a second digital content renderer, a second communication indicating the change in content rendered on the first digital content renderer. Receiving over a second communication channel a request from the second digital content renderer for the changed content. Transmitting over the second communication channel to the second digital content renderer data enabling the changed content to be rendered on the second digital content renderer. A presentation layer (45) combines the two streams or tiers and provides the presenter with an interactive presentation or interactive canvas (40). The interactive canvas (40) enables the presentation of content elements, which are available and utilises specialist tools available from the application layer (60). This provides both presenter (30) and viewer(s) (20) the ability to interact with the presentation or interactive canvas (40), whilst ensuring that face-to-face audio and/or visual elements from the communication layer (50) can continue uninterrupted. The presentation layer (45) also ensures that the presentation or interactive canvas (40) remains in synchronisation for all parties and that the presenter (30) and viewer(s) (20) have a consistent view at all times. The presentation layer (45) resides on both or all end points (viewer or presenter). The communication layer (50) may include a cloud-based server hosted by a webRTC platform provider, for example. The application layer (60) may include a cloud-based server hosted by ISP, for example. The use of indicators and traffic light tools may inform the presenter (30) that the viewer's interactive canvas (40) is in sync with their own canvas.
