Positive pressure infusion system having downstream resistance measurement capability

InactiveUS7255680B1Cheap systemInexpensive administration setMedical devicesPressure infusionPositive pressure ventilationTraffic volume
A fluid delivery system includes a first fluid container having infusion fluid for a patient. The first fluid container has an outlet and a conduit attached to the outlet. A second fluid container applies pressure to the first fluid container to force fluid out of the first container and into the conduit at a desired flow rate. A pressure sensor is coupled to the second fluid container and a flow sensor is coupled to the conduit. The processor monitors the flow rate and controls the duty cycle of a downstream flow control actuator to maintain the desired flow rate. The processor determines the downstream resistance of the system by varying the flow rate about the selected flow rate, receiving pressure signals from the pressure sensor and flow signals from the flow sensor, and calculating the change in pressure over the change in flow rate to produce the fluid resistance measurement.

Method using a global server for providing patient medical histories to assist in the delivery of emergency medical services

An Internet based method for assisting in the rapid delivery of medical information direct to the site at which emergency assistance is being performed uses a global database for warehousing patient history information, which is fetched over the Internet on demand. In one embodiment, medical providers use an access code carried by the injured party and without which access is denied. The access code may be carried as a barcode and as an imprinted number on a bracelet or on a card carried by the individual. Patient information is transmitted over a network, either wireline or wireless, the Internet or wide area network, to a computer or personal digital assistant available to emergency personnel. In one embodiment, patient history information access is determined through the use of an access code reader, by entering the patient access code manually or by entering the patient's name as a last resort. Additionally insurance information can be made available to shorten emergency room admission procedures. Lastly, the patient's card or bracelet can allow for patient history to be downloaded and saved. Thus in emergency situations, the information can be uploaded from the card or bracelet to the healthcare providers' viewing screens.

Process for monitoring production of compositions

The present invention is directed to a process for monitoring production of a target composition, such as an automotive paint or an architectural paint and a monitoring device used therein. The process includes (a) identifying one or more formulas associated with identification criteria of the target composition, the formula providing a required inventory for making a desired amount of the target composition; (b) generating a current inventory; (c) terminating the process if the current inventory does not match with a stored inventory; or (d) continuing the process if the current inventory matches with the stored inventory. The process further comprises (d1) comparing the current inventory against the required inventory to ascertain whether said current inventory fulfills said required inventory; (d2) generating a supplementary inventory if the current inventory partially fulfills the required inventory; (d3) dispensing required items listed in the required inventory from current items listed in the current inventory, supplementary items listed in the supplementary inventory, or a combination thereof to make the desired amount of the target composition; and (d4) generating an updated inventory. The process can be also used to control the inventory by shipping just in time any components required to produce target compositions, such as refinish tints used in automotive refinish paints.

The invention discloses a river ecological flow calculation method. The method comprises the steps of collecting long-series day-by-day flow data of a river hydrological survey station, counting annual average flow, arranging the annual average flow as a data series according to a descending order no matter what the annual sequence is, calculating an experience frequency greater than or equal to the corresponding annual average flow in the series, and plotting an experience frequency point data graph on frequency grid paper; selecting a hydrological frequency distribution line type as PearsonIII type distribution; estimating initial estimation values of an average flow mean value and a deviation coefficient by using a moment method, calculating flow values corresponding to different accumulated frequencies, drawing a Pearson III-type theoretical frequency curve, judging a fitting condition of the Pearson III-type theoretical frequency curve and experience point data, and if the Pearson III-type theoretical frequency curve is matched with the experience point data, taking a parameter corresponding to the curve as an estimation value of an overall parameter; and finally, solving a flow value of 90% guarantee rate on the Pearson III-type theoretical frequency curve, namely the river ecological flow. The lower end or the upper end of the empirical frequency curve can be extended, and the defect of no actual measurement point data is overcome.

High-frequency resonant soft switch circuit fault prediction method and high-frequency resonant soft switch circuit fault prediction device based on compressed sensing

The invention discloses a high-frequency resonant soft switch circuit fault prediction method and a high-frequency resonant soft switch circuit fault prediction device based on compressed sensing. Characteristic parameters are sampled based on compressed sensing, generation of massive data is avoided, and the difficulty coefficient of data processing is reduced. Fault prediction is carried out on a high-frequency resonant soft switch based on chaos, the maximum Lipschitz exponent is calculated by taking current and historical recovery signals as a data basis, the maximum Lipschitz exponent is used to predict the fault of the high-frequency resonant soft switch, and the accuracy of fault prediction is improved. A multivariate time series is built based on the recovery signals of seven characteristic parameters, and the multivariate time series is of information completeness and can overcome the noise effect on the accuracy of fault prediction. The input signals of the characteristic parameters are sparsely transformed, an irrelevant linear measurement matrix is designed according to the sparse transform base, and during sampling of the characteristic parameters based on compressed sensing, the linear measurement matrix is used to linearly measure original signals to provide an accurate data basis for signal recovery.
