A hybrid energy market and currency system is provided to manage energy consumption in an energy market comprising a community of users. A central energy authority issues energy currency units to users and sets an exchange rate between the energy currency units and a monetary currency unit, thereby setting a variable price for energy. Energy currency units have a defined validity period at the end of which the energy currency unit is automatically converted to monetary currency units by the central energy authority. Users consume energy currency units through use of energy consumptive services, such as domestic consumption of electricity and water, and through use of transportation. Users are also able to buy additional energy currency units from the central energy authority, and to sell them back. Users cannot speculatively trade energy currency units. Prices are set by comparing the cumulative actual and desired demand

A method and a device for processing light-polymerizable material for the assembly of a mold, utilizing a lithography-based generative manufacturing technique wherein a layer of a light-polymerizable material, the material being located in at least one trough (4) having a particularly light-transmissive, horizontal bottom (6), is polymerized by illumination on at least one horizontal platform (12), the platform having a prespecified geometry and projecting into a trough (4), in an illumination field, wherein the platform (12) is displaced vertically to form a subsequent layer, light-polymerizable material is then added to the most recently formed layer, and repetition of the foregoing steps leads to the layered construction of the mold in the desired form, which arises from the succession of layer geometries. The invention is characterized in that the trough (4) can be shifted horizontally to a supply position, and the supply device (8) brings light-polymerizable material at least to an illumination field of the trough bottom (6), before the at least one trough (4) is shifted to an illumination position in which the illumination field is located below the platform (12) and above the illumination unit (10), and illumination is carried out.

Operational control system and a system providing for remote monitoring of a manufacturing device

A system and method for providing operational control and/or remote monitoring of a manufacturing device as in a foam dispenser device such as a foam-in-bag dispensing device. In architecture, the remote monitoring system includes a server device containing a remote monitoring system. The remote monitoring system further includes a transceiver to receive an indication of a help condition, connect to the manufacturing device; and receive data from the manufacturing device. The present invention can also be viewed as a method for providing remote monitoring of a manufacturing device. The method operates by (1) receiving an indication of a help condition; (2) connecting to the manufacturing device; and (3) receiving data from the manufacturing device. The operational control system is designed to control operation of one or more sub-systems of the manufacturing device as in a foam dispenser's chemical supply (proper temperature and pressure) and solvent supply as well as performance of a reciprocating valve device. With a foam-in-bag system, the control system provides for additional control over, for example, film feed and tensioning, bag edge and end seals as well as dispenser output into the bag. In a preferred embodiment, the operational control system and remote monitoring control interface with each other.

Circuit and system for driving organic thin-film EL elements

The present invention discloses a circuit and system for driving an organic thin-film electroluminescent (EL) display to emit light. The driving system of the present invention can quickly respond to the point of emission when a supply voltage is applied. This driving system includes a plurality of intersecting anode and cathode lines arranged in a matrix. The anode lines are the scanning lines, and the cathode lines are the driving lines. A plurality of organic thin-film EL elements is positioned at the intersection of scanning and driving lines. Each of the organic thin-film EL elements is electrically connected to one of the scanning lines and one of the constant current sources followed by connecting to one of the driving lines. The signal control unit controls the scan lines causing at least one of these elements to emit light by executing scanning of at least one of the scan lines and, during a predetermined period of the scanning, by coupling a driving source to at least one of the driving lines in the scanning period.
