72 results about "Steady state level" patented technology

The steady-state level (SS) is the maximum acceptable [CO. For example, the same two athletes may run a six-minute mile, but the stronger runner will run at a quick, relaxed, steady-state level of exertion, and the weaker runner will keep up only by forcing his pace at the ragged edge of his maximal exertion.

Super-regenerative receiver including phase-locked loop

An improved low-cost super-regenerative receiver includes sampling phase-locked loop. Phase sampling is controlled by the quench signal (264). In the preferred embodiment, logic state HIGH to logic state LOW transition of the quench signal (264) defines the timing for the event of sampling. While the quench signal (264) is in logic state HIGH, a quenched oscillator is being turned ON and the oscillation amplitude builds-up until a steady-state level is reached. When the oscillator is turned OFF, effective quality factor of an electronically tunable resonator (206) is reduced, by increasing losses in the circuit, thus to ensure aperiodic (non-oscillatory) decay. The resonator's charge—an energy stored on internal reactive components of the resonator (206), which existed at the instant of turning the oscillations OFF, is transferred during precisely defined period of time to the charge holding capacitor (404) of a charge transfer circuit (216). Charge is stored on the charge holding capacitor (404), which is also part of a loop filter, until the described here charge transfer cycle is repeated again. A frequency control signal (268) at the output of the loop filter sets the frequency of the oscillation for the duration of the succeeding oscillator ON time.

Real-time on-line identification criterion of electric system node voltage steady state

The invention discloses a real-time on-line identification criterion method of an electric system node voltage steady state. After a PMU conducts sampling every time, a voltage stabilization discrimination result is computed in real time, where each discrimination comprises the following steps that 1), data collection and processing are conducted; 2) tracking calculation is conducted on Thevenin equivalent parameters; (3) according to a simple power network obtained through the present Thevenin equivalent parameters, a differential state equation of a node voltage dynamic trajectory is computed and described; (4) a voltage steady state on-line identification criterion of a node to be analyzed is obtained. The real-time on-line identification criterion method of the electric system node voltage steady state achieves voltage steady state on-line identification of the node to be analyzed is obtained by means of PMU measurement data.

Engineering of leader peptides for the secretion of recombinant proteins in bacteria

The present invention provides methods of isolating of leader peptides capable of directing export of heterologous proteins from the bacterial cytoplasm. The methods rely on the screening of libraries of putative leader peptides or of leader peptide mutants for sequences that allow rapid export and thus can rescue a short-lived reporter protein from degradation in the cytoplasm. The mutant leader peptides identified herein are shown to confer significantly higher steady state levels of export not only for short-lived reporter protein but also for other stable, long-lived proteins. These leader peptides can be used to direct or enhance protein secretion. The present invention further discloses methods for the export of cytoplasmically folded protein via the Tat pathway. Proteins having disulfide bonds are first folded within the cytoplasm in suitable oxidizing mutant strains. Such cytoplasmically pre-folded proteins containing disulfide bonds are then exported via the Tat pathway.

Bioluminescence regenerative cycle (BRC) for nucleic acid quantification

The present invention concerns methods of quantifying nucleic acids using a bioluminescence regenerative cycle (BRC). In BRC, steady state levels of bioluminescence result from processes that produce pyrophosphate. Pyrophosphate reacts with APS in the presence of ATP sulfurylase to produce ATP. The ATP reacts with luciferin in a luciferase-catalyzed reaction, producing light and regenerating pyrophosphate. The pyrophosphate is recycled to produce ATP and the regenerative cycle continues. Because the kinetic properties of ATP sulfurylase are much faster than luciferase, a steady state results wherein concentrations of ATP and pyrophosphate and the rate of light production remain relatively constant. Photons are counted over a time interval to determine the number of target molecules present in the initial sample. The BRC process has a controllable dynamic range up to seven orders of magnitude and is sensitive enough to detect a few thousand molecules of target nucleic acid.

Supply voltage detection circuit

A supply voltage detection circuit determines when the voltage for any one of the power supply signals received by an integrated circuit device is below its steady state level, as may occur during a hot socket condition when the device is inserted in or removed from a powered-on system. A first detection circuit determines when the first supply voltage level is below its steady state level, and a second detection circuit determines when the second supply voltage level is below its steady state level. A logic circuit provides a detected condition signal that disables current flow through an input / output terminal associated with the supply voltage detection circuit. The circuit is able to rapidly detect hot socket conditions for a wide range of power supply signal levels, including low supply signal levels, while limiting leakage current effects.

Transient state event and steady state event monitoring method during electric energy classification metering process

The invention discloses a transient state event and steady state event monitoring method during an electric energy classification metering process. The transient state event and steady state event monitoring method is suitable for being used for a non-intrusive load electric energy monitoring system, and is used to monitor a starting point of a transient state event and a starting point of a steady state event, and is used to solve problems of a classification metering system such as identification precision, calculation speed, and management efficiency. Data acquisition equipment and a virtual device are used to design a platform, and a voltage signal and a current signal of a user side are acquired, and then a power value is calculated to form a power sequence. The quantification and the median filtering preprocessing of the acquired data are carried out to reduce influences of spike noises and isolated noise points on the measurement of the starting point of the transient state event and the starting point of the steady state event. The starting point of the transient state event is acquired by adopting a transient state event starting point calculation method, and the starting point of the steady state event is acquired by adopting a steady state event starting point calculation method, and the operation state of the load is determined. The transient state event and steady state event monitoring method has advantages of high precision, easy realization, and applicability in fields such as high-level measurement system of intelligent power grid and electric energy demand side management.
