Taking water level and depth of lakes as main objects of study and a quantitative principle of degree of swampiness of lakes, synthetic judgment is processed by the method according to leading indicators such as annual water level which is of different degrees in years, maximum water level, water level-volume relationship, depth of water, average sediment input amount of lakes in years and deposition. The method can reflect the historical change regulation of lakes precisely and is significant for evaluation and prediction of degree of swampiness of lakes.
