Content delivery network map generation using passive measurement data

A routing method operative in a content delivery network (CDN) where the CDN includes a request routing mechanism for routing clients to subsets of edge servers within the CDN. According to the routing method, TCP connection data statistics are collected are edge servers located within a CDN region. The TCP connection data statistics are collected as connections are established between requesting clients and the CDN region and requests are serviced by those edge servers. Periodically, e.g., daily, the connection data statistics are provdied from the edge servers in a region back to the request routing mechanism. The TCP connection data statistics are then used by the request routing mechanism in subsequent routing decisions and, in particular, in the map generation processes. Thus, for example, the TCP connection data may be used to determine whether a given quality of service is being obtained by routing requesting clients to the CDN region. If not, the request routing mechanism generates a map that directs requesting clients away from the CDN region for a given time period or until the quality of service improves.

Token Enrollment System and Method

Embodiments of the invention are directed to methods, apparatuses, computer readable media and systems for providing a token service environment that allows a token requesting party (e.g. token requestor) to specify parameters for token generation for controlling and customizing the token generation process. For example, the token requesting party may specify (e.g. select from a list or provide a list of) the accounts for tokenization. The accounts may be identified by account identifiers (e.g. account numbers) or bank identification numbers (BINs). The token requesting party may also specify encryption keys for the tokens to be generated. The token requesting party may also specify additional parameters such as notification thresholds indicating when notifications associated with the tokens are to be generated.

System and method for automatic weight generation for probabilistic matching

Embodiments of the invention provide a system and method of automatically generating weights for matching data records. Each field of a record may be compared by an exact match and / or close matches and each comparison can result in a mathematical score which is the sum of the field comparisons. To sum up the field scores accurately, the automatic weight generation process comprises an iterative process. In one embodiment, initial weights are computed based upon unmatched-set probabilities and default discrepancy weights associated with attributes in the comparison algorithm. A bulk cross-match is performed across the records using the initial weights and a candidate matched set is computed for updating the discrepancy probabilities. New weights are computed based upon the unmatched probabilities and the updated discrepancy probabilities. Test for convergence between the new weights and the old weights. Repeat with the new weight table until the weights converge to their final value.

Generating class library to represent messages described in a structured language schema

Techniques are disclosed for programmatically generating class libraries to represent the messages which may be sent / received according to specifications provided in a structured language message definition schema (or its equivalent, alternatively, such as a Document Type Definition or "DTD"). The disclosed techniques are very flexible, and are not limited to a single output programming language. Instead, a template-driven approach can be used to guide the generation process, where templates for multiple programming languages may be used to generate different versions of a class library, one for each programming language. The generation process can also be directed by rules specified in a rules file. The disclosed techniques can be used to generate class libraries for web services which have a service interface defined using only a schema reference. Migration can be evaluated programmatically, enabling much easier resolution of migration issues than is possible using prior art manual migration techniques.

Current-compensated CMOS output buffer adjusting edge rate for process, temperature, and Vcc variations

Edge rates for output driver transistors are increased for slower conditions such as caused by supply-voltage, temperature, and process variations. The edge rates are increased by increasing charging and discharging currents to the gates of the driver transistors. Process-sensing transistors have gates tied to power or ground. Current through the process-sensing transistors changes with supply-voltage, temperature, and process variations. The currents through process-sensing transistors are used to generate process-compensated voltages that bias current sources and sinks to adjust process-dependent currents. Process-independent or fixed current sources and sinks use process-independent reference voltages ultimately generated from reference currents that are not sensitive to process variations. The process-dependent-currents are subtracted from the fixed currents to produce the charging and discharging currents.

Grammar generation for voice-based searches

A grammar generation process generates a voice recognition grammar for interpreting search queries of a domain of items. The grammar comprises both single-term and multi-term utterances derived from the texts of the items (preferably the item titles). The utterances are derived in-part by expanding phrases selected from the item text into their individual terms plus all forward combinations of such terms. The forward combinations and individual terms that are deemed not useful to the search process are filtered out of the grammar. The process tends to produce a grammar containing the utterances that are most likely to occur within voice queries for the items, while maintaining a grammar size that is sufficiently small to provide reliable voice recognition.

Total flexibility of predicted fetching of multiple sectors from an aligned instruction cache for instruction execution

Each of plural rows in an aligned Instruction cache (AIC) contains a plurality of aligned sectors, each sector having space for a block of sequentially-addressed instructions in an executing program. A "fetch history table" (FHT) contains FHT sets of FHT entries for specifying execution sequences of the sectors in associated AIC rows. Each FHT entry in a FHT set specifies an AIC row and a sector sequence arrangement to be outputted from that row. In this manner, each FHT entry can associate itself with any row in the AIC and is capable of specifying any output order among the sectors in its associated row. Unique fields are selected in each instruction address for locating an associated FHT set, and for associating the instruction address with an AIC sector through a unique "sector distribution table" (SDT) to locate the sector which starts with the instruction having this instruction address. A program is executed using "FHT cycles", in which each FHT cycle uses a predicted instruction address and a prediction vector, both being matched with the FHT entries in the located FHT set. A FHT hit occurs if a match is found for a valid FHT entry. A hit FHT entry is used to control outgating for execution of a plurality of AIC sectors in the associated AIC row without branch instruction overhead. A FHT miss occurs when no hit FHT entry is found in a FHT cycle, and a new FHT entry is generated during the FHT cycle using conventional branch instruction execution until the new FHT entry is completed. During the FHT entry generation process, the SDT is Pused to locate AIC sectors to be specified in the sector sequence for the current FHT entry being generated during a FHT miss cycle.
