Roll-to-roll fabricated light sheet and encapsulated semiconductor circuit devices

A method of making a light active sheet. A bottom substrate having an electrically conductive surface is provided. A hotmelt adhesive sheet is provided. Light active semiconductor elements, such as LED die, are embedded in the hotmelt adhesive sheet. The LED die each have a top electrode and a bottom electrode. A top transparent substrate is provided having a transparent conductive layer. The hotmelt adhesive sheet with the embedded LED die is inserted between the electrically conductive surface and the transparent conductive layer to form a lamination. The lamination is run through a heated pressure roller system to melt the hotmelt adhesive sheet and electrically insulate and bind the top substrate to the bottom substrate. As the hotmelt sheet is softened, the LED die breakthrough so that the top electrode comes into electrical contact with the transparent conductive layer of the top substrate and the bottom electrode comes into electrical contact with the electrically conductive surface of the bottom substrate. Thus, the p and n sides of each LED die are automatically connected to the top conductive layer and the bottom conductive surface. Each LED die is encapsulated and secured between the substrates in the flexible, hotmelt adhesive sheet layer. The bottom substrate, the hotmelt adhesive (with the embedded LED die) and the top substrate can be provided as rolls of material. The rolls are brought together in a continuous roll fabrication process, resulting in a flexible sheet of lighting material.

Method for selecting cell in cellular network

The present invention relates to prioritizing special cells in cell selection in a cellular radio network. In a cellular radio network one or more cells provide a subscriber with special services or tariffs not offered to all subscribers. These cells are called subscriber's special cells. The mobile station measures an average reception level and calculates by means of them cell selection parameters on the basis of which the best cell is selected. In accordance with the invention, when the mobile station detects that the cell is one of cells of a special cell list stored in a memory, it checks first if the cell fulfils a minimum requirement of cell selection on the basis of the measured signal level. If the minimum requirement is fulfilled, the mobile station manipulates the calculation of the cell selection parameter of a special cell to the effect that the selection probability of a special cell is improved with respect to a normal cell. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the manipulation of the calculation comprises a step of adding a predetermined margin to the measured signal level of a special cell before the cell selection parameter is calculated. This will minimize the possibility that the mobile station would accidentally be camped on a normal cell when it is within the area of a special cell.

Detection and treatment of infections with immunoconjugates

A method of targeting a diagnostic or therapeutic agent to a focus of infection comprises injecting a patient infected with a pathogen parenterally with an antibody conjugate which specifically binds to an accessible epitope of the pathogen or of a pathogen-associated antigen accreted at the focus of infection, the antibody conjugate further comprising a bound diagnostic or therapeutic agent for detecting, imaging or treating the infection. Polyspecific composite conjugates enhance the efficacy of the method, which is especially useful for treating infections that are refractory towards systemic chemotherapy.
