The invention relates to a cooling device for cooling a
diameter measuring instrument. The device comprises a circulating cooling water mechanism and an air blowing mechanism which are arranged in an area, through which wires to be measured pass, of the
diameter measuring instrument. When the air blowing mechanism blows the air outward, the flowing air discharges the heat of the wires, and the effect of cooling the
diameter measuring instrument is achieved, so the air blowing mechanism is just an
air cooling mechanism; and the circulating cooling water mechanism also achieves the effect of a
thermal insulation barrier and prevents the heat of the wires from being transferred to the diameter measuring instrument. Thus, the heat in a wire traveling area cannot be transferred to the diameter measuring instrument after double cooling of
air cooling and
water cooling and
thermal insulation, and then the diameter measuring instrument is naturally at lower temperature, namely approximately in a
room temperature environment, so that the steady work of the diameter measuring instrument is facilitated and equipment aging is also avoided. Meanwhile, the air blowing of the air blowing mechanism can also blow dust, impurities and
water vapor in the diameter measuring instrument out of the diameter measuring instrument, and also blocks dust, impurities and
water vapor outside the diameter measuring instrument so as to prevent the dust, the impurities and the
water vapor outside the diameter measuring instrument from entering the diameter measuring instrument; therefore, the cleanness and
dryness of an inner cavity of the diameter measuring instrument are ensured.
