The invention discloses a light-operated terahertz wave 3-bit
encoder and an encoding method. The light-operated terahertz wave 3-bit
encoder comprises a substrate layer, a
metal layer, a positioningmark and an encoding structure. The
metal layer and the positioning mark cover the upper surface of the substrate layer. The coding structure is etched on the
metal layer. The encoding structure is composed of a plurality of double-circle structures and a plurality of square structures. All the double-circle structures are arranged periodically, all the square structures are arranged periodically,and a double-circle array formed by all the double-circle structures and a
square array formed by all the square structures are arranged in a staggered mode. Terahertz
waves can be controlled, codingof three bits, namely eight states, can be achieved, and compared with a previous coding structure, the coding capacity and the
information transmission capacity are greatly improved.
Resonance responses of three frequency points can be controlled at the same time, the acting
frequency band is wider, and the coding frequency range is wider. The method has the characteristics of simple process, simple structure and high coding rate.
