The invention relates to the technical field of
space debris utilization, in particular to a
space debris energy transformation device and method based on
laser propelling. The device comprises a device body, an optical aligning mechanism, an
optical beam splitting mechanism, optical working medium
coupling mechanism and working medium supplying mechanisms, wherein the
optical beam splitting mechanism is arranged on the bottom of the optical aligning mechanism, and the optical working medium
coupling mechanisms are correspondingly connected with the working medium supplying mechanisms in a one-to-one manner. According to the
space debris energy transformation device and method based on
laser propelling, space debris serves as a
solid working medium for
laser propelling, by means of interaction of laser and the collected space debris, space debris
ablation and gasification are caused, the space debris is ionized to form plasmas,
plasma deflagration waves compress the surface of the space debris to produce thrust, so that reuse of the space debris is achieved. The space debris
energy transformation device has the beneficial effects that the structure is simple, the energy transformation
utilization rate is high, and secondary
pollution cannot be caused for the
space environment. The space debris energy transformation and method based on laser propelling can be directly applied to in-
orbit control over spacecrafts.
