Catheter for topical cooling and topical cooling device using the same

Topical cooling of spinal cord, brain, esophagus, etc. can be selectively and continuously carried out under convenient control without causing any changes in internal pressure of spinal cord cavity, brain pressure, etc. by inserting a catheter, which has no hole connecting to the outside and in which a heat-cooling medium is circulated in its inner space to thereby cool a topical site; into the spinal cord, the epidural cavity, the subdural cavity or the subarachnoid cavity of the brain or the esophageal cavity and placing therein and then circulating the heat / cooling medium within the inner space of the catheter; or using a device composed of a heat absorption member in the form of a catheter, a heat insulation member and a heat radiation member, inserting the heat absorption member in the form of a catheter into the spinal cord, the epidural cavity, the subdural cavity or the subarachnoid cavity of the brain or the esophageal cavity and placing therein and then absorbing heat from the heat absorption member and radiating the heat from the heat radiation member via the heat insulation member, thereby contributing to the treatment of spinal diseases including prevention of paraplegia accompanying thoracic aortic aneurysm surgery and the treatment of brain injury, esophageal injury and so on.

Target for magnetron sputtering

The invention provides a new sputtering target that provides a large leakage of magnetic flux, is free of the risk of a change of composition during deposition, and enables deposition under a stable voltage.A sputtering target is that having (1) a Co—Pt magnetic phase including Co and Pt, wherein Pt is included at a proportion of 4 atomic % to 10 atomic %; (2) a Co—Cr—Pt nonmagnetic phase including Co, Cr and Pt, wherein Co and Cr are included at proportions of 30 atomic % or more of Cr and 70 atomic % or less of Co; and (3) an oxide phase including finely dispersed metal oxides.

Toner dispersing member and toner dispersing mechanism provided therewith

Provided is a toner dispersing member including a rotary shaft and dispersing protrusions formed of a flexible film member wound along an outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft, the flexible film member including a large number of cuts formed on one side thereof and are directed outward. The toner dispersing member is rotated about the rotary shaft so that a lump of toner coming into contact with the dispersing protrusions is dispersed.

Mercury-free lead-free button battery

A mercury-free lead-free button battery includes a negative cap, a cathode material, a gasket ring, a positive can, an anode material, and a diaphragm. The positive can and the negative cap are combined. The gasket ring is clamped between the positive can and the negative cap for separating the positive can from the negative cap. The cathode material is arranged on the bottom of the positive can. The diaphragm is arranged on the cathode material. The anode material is arranged between the negative cap and the diaphragm. A partition unit is arranged between the negative cap and the anode material for separating the anode material from the negative cap and conductively connecting the anode material and the negative cap. The partition unit ensures disconnection between the anode material and the negative cap and therefore safety of the battery by preventing expansion, weeping and even that would otherwise happen.
