Liquid cooling systems for server applications

Mounting systems are provided for bringing a heat exchanger from a server rack into thermal contact with a heat exchanger from an electronics server. An engaging force is applied to the two heat exchangers to create thermal communication there between. A mounting mechanism is configured to isolate the engaging force applied to the two heat exchangers. The mounting mechanism may include an interlocking mechanism that prevents transfer of the applied force to the rest of the electronics server to lessen the possibility of disconnecting the electrical connections between the electronics server and the rack, and / or lessening mechanical stresses transferred to the electronics server and the rack chassis. The mounting mechanism also may be coupled to the electronics server locking mechanism such that the action of locking the electronics server into the rack causes the heat exchangers to engage in thermal contact.

Block-conduit connection alignment device

An alignment device for squarely aligning a conduit within a conduit port of a housing. The alignment device includes a connecting block having a conduit passage therethrough and into which the conduit is trapped. The connecting block has a fastener passage therethrough that is laterally offset from the conduit passage. A fastener is threaded into the housing and is offset from the conduit port. The fastener includes an alignment sleeve that mounts to a portion thereof. The connecting block mounts to the housing and the conduit fits into the conduit port, whereby the alignment sleeve pilots the fastener passage of the connecting block to squarely align the conduit within the conduit port.

Liquid cooling loops for server applications

A mounting system provides mechanisms and form factors for bringing a heat exchanger from a server rack into thermal contact with a heat exchanger from a electronics server. To ensure good thermal contact, pressure is applied between the two heat exchangers, the rejector plate and the chassis cold plate. The mounting mechanism used to engage and disengage the heat exchangers is configured to isolate the force applied to the two heat exchangers. The mounting mechanism includes an interlocking mechanism that prevents transfer of the applied force to the rest of the electronics server. Without isolating this force, the force is applied to the electronics server and / or the rack chassis, possibly disconnecting the electrical connections between the electronics server and the rack, as well as providing mechanical stress to the electronics server and the rack chassis. The mounting mechanism is also coupled to the electronics server locking mechanism such that the action of locking the electronics server into the rack causes the heat exchangers to engage in thermal contact. This is a fail safe procedure since no separate process is required to engage the electronics server cooling loop.

Golf club, jetdrv driver for increased distance and accuracy

InactiveUS20050032584A1Excellent quantitave comparisonImprove hit accuracyGolf clubsRacket sportsAerodynamic dragEngineering
A golf club, a driver, designed to provide an inprovement in the accuracy of ball control as club head speeds are increased from 100 miles per hour to the level of a semipro at 120 miles per hour. Most forces on the club head increase as the square of the velocity, representing a forty four percent increase. A detailed analysis has been made of forces generated during the collision of the ball and club head and their effect on trajectory of the ball. The design proposed greatly reduces the aerodynamic drag of the clubhead, increases the allowable tolerance to angular misalignment of the club striking face from two degrees to ten degrees and reduces the torque that twists the club head causing an angular misalignment prior to contact with the ball.

Self-aligned trench filling with high coupling ratio

Self-aligned trench filling to isolate active regions in high-density integrated circuits is provided. A deep, narrow trench is etched into a substrate between active regions. The trench is filled by growing a suitable dielectric such as silicon dioxide. The oxide grows from the substrate to fill the trench and into the substrate to provide an oxide of greater width and depth than the trench. Storage elements for a NAND type flash memory system, for example, can be fabricated by etching the substrate to form the trench after or as part of etching to form NAND string active areas. This can ensure alignment of the NAND string active areas between isolation trenches. Because the dielectric growth process is self-limiting, an open area resulting from the etching process can be maintained between the active areas. A subsequently formed inter-gate dielectric layer and control gate layer can fill the open area to provide sidewall coupling between control gates and floating gates.

Channels defined by the sink side wall and other sealing components establish a watertight seal between compartments when the electromagnet is actuated. The electromagnet may be connected to the residential power source and may be activated by a user or, automatically, by a sensor. When the divider is removed, the larger single basin may be used for washing larger items.

Automatic Bow Sighting Device with Range Finding Means

Disclosed is an archery bow sighting device that incorporates a laser range finder, an automatically adjusting sight pin, trigger control and distance indicator. The device incorporates imbedded electronics and a gearing mechanism to adjust a sighting pin based on distance to target and calibrated distance data. The user aims the laser range finder at a designated target for determination of its distance, after which the sight pin is automatically adjusted to account for the distance and is used to aim at the target. To accurately aim the range finder, a peep sight along the length of the bow string is aligned with crosshairs within the range finder while aiming at the intended target. A trigger button along the bow pulses the laser range finder to determine distance, and the sighting pin elevation is updated accordingly by the imbedded electronic circuit and interpolation of preset distances. The device is attachable to any archery bow sight rail, and provides a means to quickly update a range to target if the target is mobile. A trigger button controls the device in use, while power is supplied by a user harnessed battery pack and wire tether.
