Reduced threads coaxial connector

InactiveUS20080139045A1Facilitates making electrically conductive connectionFacilitate electrical contactElectrically conductive connectionsCoupling device detailsElectrically conductiveSignal lines
Male and female reduced thread coaxial connectors for interconnecting center and outer conductors of pairs of coaxial signal lines each has a rear tubular connector body section for attachment in electrically conductive contact to the outer conductor of a coaxial cable and a front cylindrically shaped body section which is in electrically conductive contact with the rear body section and protrudes axially forward therefrom. The front body section of the male reduced thread connector has a longitudinally disposed bore, the circumferential wall surface of which has in a rear portion thereof helical threads adapted to threadingly engage threads on an outer cylindrical surface of the front connector body section of a standard fully threaded female coaxial connector, and a front unthreaded portion which is adapted to insertably receive the front female connector body section and thereby guide the axes of the female and the male connectors into alignment prior to mutual contact of their threaded surfaces. The front body section of the reduced thread female connector has an outer cylindrical wall surface which has in a rear portion thereof helical threads adapted to threadingly engage helical threads of a standard fully threaded male connector, and a front unthreaded portion which is adapted to be inserted into the bore of the male connector body section and thereby guide the axes of the male and female connectors into axial alignment prior to mutual contact of their threaded surfaces.

Charging arrangement for a vehicle

The invention relates to a charging arrangement for a vehicle comprising an inductively chargeable mobile electronic appliance consisting of a multiplicity of different, inductively chargeable, mobile electronic appliances, having a secondary coil, charging electronics and a rechargeable battery and a charging device having a primary coil and a charging surface which is associated with the primary coil and above which the mobile electronic appliance can be placed down for charging. In this case, the primary coil can be fixed in a first primary position and in at least one second primary position on a primary plane relative to the charging surface, with the primary coil being fixed in the chosen primary position independently of shaking, vibrations or centrifugal forces acting on the charging arrangement, and independently of the presence of the mobile electronic appliance.

Masonry anchoring system

A masonry anchor system is disclosed for anchoring two spaced apart masonry walls together to form a single wall structure. The masonry anchor system includes a ladder or truss type support frame for positioning on top of a mortar joint in one wall, and a connecting bracket having a pair of elongate arms connected by a cross-member affixed to the support frame. The cross-member is curved to provide two spaced apart points on the cross-member for contacting the support frame and affixing the cross-member thereto. The elongate arms extend transversely from the support frame and are sized to extend into the space between the two walls. Each of the arms have an eye portion formed at the end opposite the cross-member to receive a connecting member connected to the second wall. The support frame and the bracket reside in the same horizontal plane.

Drive systems and devices incorporating drive systems

Disclosed embodiments relate to a fixation device for use in supporting and / or stretching an injured body part. An exemplary disclosed fixation device uses a thumb wheel control element to provide controlled rotational micromovements of a joint. The control element and its associated drive system allow for movement along a particular axis, while the position remains fixed with relation to the other axis. In addition, the fixation device may incorporate a drive system that introduces a simultaneous longitudinal translation with rotation, in order to provide for a common point of origin of rotation between the fixation device and the affected body part supported by the fixation device.

Automatic Bow Sighting Device with Range Finding Means

Disclosed is an archery bow sighting device that incorporates a laser range finder, an automatically adjusting sight pin, trigger control and distance indicator. The device incorporates imbedded electronics and a gearing mechanism to adjust a sighting pin based on distance to target and calibrated distance data. The user aims the laser range finder at a designated target for determination of its distance, after which the sight pin is automatically adjusted to account for the distance and is used to aim at the target. To accurately aim the range finder, a peep sight along the length of the bow string is aligned with crosshairs within the range finder while aiming at the intended target. A trigger button along the bow pulses the laser range finder to determine distance, and the sighting pin elevation is updated accordingly by the imbedded electronic circuit and interpolation of preset distances. The device is attachable to any archery bow sight rail, and provides a means to quickly update a range to target if the target is mobile. A trigger button controls the device in use, while power is supplied by a user harnessed battery pack and wire tether.
