Bundled authorization requests

A framework, which conforms to the OAuth standard, involves a generic OAuth authorization server that can be used by multiple resource servers in order to ensure that access to resources stored on those resource servers is limited to access to which the resource owner consents. Each resource server registers, with the OAuth authorization server, metadata for that resource server, indicating scopes that are recognized by the resource server. The OAuth authorization server refers to this metadata when requesting consent from a resource owner on behalf of a client application, so that the consent will be of an appropriate scope. The OAuth authorization server refers to this metadata when constructing an access token to provide to the client application for use in accessing the resources on the resource server. The OAuth authorization server uses this metadata to map issued access tokens to the scopes to which those access tokens grant access.

Web site application development method using object model for managing web-based content

A system and method for developing an application for serving a document to a client in a client / server network employs an Object Model which defines templates, extensions, documents, and content objects in a template inheritance model. The Object Model serves a document, such as a webpage of a Web site application, by combining the structure and content inherited from a template and extensions in the template hierarchy. The templates specify the structure of the document and include tags as placeholders for content objects to be incorporated in the document. Extensions descend from either a template or another extension, and can expand upon the number of tags specified in a parent, add additional formatting to the layout, and / or refine the definition of tags that already exist in the inheritance hierarchy. When a document is to be viewed or served, a page server retrieves the template hierarchy and incorporates all tagged content in the structure inherited from the template and its extensions. The Object Model provides a framework for developing Web sites and other applications that is more robust and simpler to manage than the traditional file directory model of conventional Web applications. This framework makes it possible to create complex and highly structured Web applications that are efficient to develop and easier to maintain, and without ever having to write source code.

Intranet-based medical data distribution system

A network based medical telemetry system that uses, to the greatest extent possible, standard hardware and software components. The system allows clinicians using computers anywhere in a large hospital to view physiologic data from patients of the hospital. Each patient is fitted with a set of sensors that measure physiologic properties of the patient (e.g., EKG sensors). The sensors are connected to a transmitter that relays the physiologic data to a central server. The central server comprises a WEB server that supplies basic patient data such as the patient's name and medical history. The central server also comprises a waveform server which supplies the physiologic data, in real-time or near real-time. Workstation, used by a clinician receives the basic patient data from the Web server and the physiologic data from the waveform server, and produces a combined display. The combined display is continuously updated, showing, for example, the patient's EKG.

Method, system and apparatus for location based advertising

The invention relates to a method, system and apparatus for managing a small business' advertising. More specifically, the system creates and administers a virtual online world accessible to users (players) within a virtual environment. A player interacts with various elements of the virtual environment and during those interactions the advertising is displayed to the user. To subscribe to the virtual environment, a player provides user information through a registration process to create a user profile. The system selects and displays advertisements that are correlated to a given user. The correlation between advertisement and user in one embodiment of the invention is based on a user's zip code. Further, in order to facilitate the quick adoption of the system among small business owners, a fundraising paradigm is implemented. More specifically, people volunteer to sell advertising opportunities within a virtual environment in exchange for a share of sales revenues.

Real-time mission adaptable route planner

A hybrid of grid-based and graph-based search computations, together with provision of a sparse search technique effectively limited to high-probability candidate nodes provides accommodation of path constraints in an optimization search problem in substantially real-time with limited computational resources and memory. A grid of best cost (BC) values are computed from a grid of map cost (MC) values and used to evaluate nodes included in the search. Minimum segment / vector length, maximum turn angle, and maximum path length along a search path are used to limit the number of search vectors generated in the sparse search. A min-heap is preferably used as a comparison engine to compare cost values of a plurality of nodes to accumulate candidate nodes for expansion and determine which node at the terminus of a partial search path provides the greatest likelihood of being included in a near-optimal complete solution, allowing the search to effectively jump between branches to carry out further expansion of a node without retracing portions of the search path. Capacity of the comparison engine can be limited in the interest of expediting of processing and values may be excluded or discarded therefrom. Other constraints such as approach trajectory are accommodated by altering MC and BC values in a pattern or in accordance with a function of a parameter such as altitude or by testing of the search path previously traversed.
