Wrist with decoupled motion transmission

The present invention is a wrist mechanism and a method for making robotic devices in which the transmission of motion, force and / or torque around a revolute joint can be accomplished without coupling. This construction allows mounting the actuators on the base or lower elements of a mechanism, so that only linkage elements move the end-effector. Thus reducing inertia of the moving elements and increasing performance of the device. The decoupled motion of the end-effector or links is achieved by routing their transmission cables around idler pulleys placed parallel to the joint rotation axis on an optimal position such any stretch on the transmission cable is minimized. In particular, this construction can be use for robotic surgical tools that have two independently driven jaws, decoupled and orthogonal from its articulating wrist. This device may be used in grasping, cutting, suturing or alike operations.

Temperature calibration methods and apparatus for optical absorption gas sensors, and optical absorption gas sensors thereby calibrated

An optical absorption gas sensor has an LED light source and a photodiode light detector, a temperature measuring device for measuring the LED temperature and a temperature measuring device for measuring the photodiode temperature. The sensor is calibrated by measuring the response of photodiode current at zero analyte gas concentration and at a reference analyte gas concentration. From these measurement, calibration data taking into account the effect of photodiode temperature on the sensitivity of the photodiode and, independently, the effect of changes in the spectrum of light output by the LED on the light detected by the photodiode with LED temperature can be obtained. Calibration data is written to memory in the gas sensor and in operation of the gas sensor, the output is compensated for both LED and photodiode temperature. The LED and photodiode can therefore be relatively far apart and operate at significantly different temperatures allowing greater freedom of optical pathway design.

Anti-tight fishing combination hook group with floater plummet

PendingCN109601496AChange the way you fishHigh sensitivityOther angling devicesUnderwaterEngineering
The invention relates to the technical and application field of fishing hook groups, in particular to an anti-tight fishing combination hook group with a floater plummet formed jointly by a self-rescued bottom hanging-resistant floater plummet and a counter-force triggering mechanism after a fish bites the hook, wherein the anti-tight fishing combination hook group replaces a conventional fish plummet, improves the fish hooking senility and attracts a fish shoal. In particular, the counter-force triggering mechanism after the fish bites the hook generates a counter-force to fish the fish tightly quickly to prevent the hook-biting fish from escaping, so that the fishing rate is increased. The invention also provides the floater plummet compose of axial empty floater, a hollow hard pipe andan axial empty lead plummet. The buoyancy of the floater is smaller than the weight of the lead plummet, so that the floater plummet is kept in a standing state all the way underwater, and the probability of hanging the bottom of the lead plummet is reduced. As the axial empty lead plummet of the floater plummet can be made as an axial empty hollowed lead plummet, the plummet can be firmly placedto fish luring bait to play a nesting role to attract the fish shoal, so that the rate of fish is improved. The fishing method of a fisher dependent on experience is changed to automatic fishing of the fisher mechanically, so that the fish escaping condition after being fished is avoided. The fishing rod needs not to be watched by the fisher, so that the beginner fisher becomes a fishing master-hand instantly by using the anti-tight fishing combination hook group with the floater plummet and can fish smoothly without any fishing experience. The invention provides a double innovation in novel mechanism and structural mechanism of fishing.
