Mobile dry material storage

A system that can be assembled at a well drilling or other site for storing bulk material such as sand includes a plurality of storage bins configured as trailers, a skid that includes a lower conveyor, a bucket elevator and a top conveyor system. At the site, the bins and the elevator are vertically oriented and stood on the skid, resulting in discharge outlets on the bins becoming positioned over the lower conveyor. The top conveyor is installed on top of the bins. In operation, the elevator lifts the material and discharges it onto the top conveyor system. The top conveyor system discharges the material into the bins for storage. The stored material is controllably discharged from the discharge outlets of the bins onto the lower conveyor from which the material is conveyed to one end of the skid for transport to a new location or directly into a blender.

Apparatus for separating floating and non-floating particulate from a fluid stream

A fluid separation system includes a tank with a storage chamber for retaining floating and non-floating particulates. The tank includes a baffle for retaining floating particulates within the storage chamber and for directing flow out of the storage chamber. The tank also includes a bypass with an inlet flow control zone and an outlet flow control zone. The flow control zones are separated by a weir sized and positioned to regulate the fluid flow through a baffle port into the storage chamber. The weir also provides control of the flow rate at which incoming fluid is diverted directly through the bypass to the tank outlet rather than into the storage chamber. The baffle and / or the weir may be curved, and the baffle may include a complex curve, to aid in the smoothing of the fluid flow within the storage chamber to improve particulate separation.

In the first embodiment the device includes extensions on the slide directed towards the container to break-up clogged material within container during movement of the slide. In the second embodiment the transporting mechanism includes also a screening mechanism capable to close or open the compartment in the slide wherein the dispensed material is received.

The testing device and the measuring and calculating method are applicable to the measurement of permeability of mediums with low permeability, such as the storage of underground petroleum and natural gas, the storage of CO2, the disposal of nuclear waste, the storage of shale gas and the like and the measurement and calculation of the permeability of other compact rock mediums. System and Method for Integrated Waste Storage

The present invention provides integrated bunker storage systems for waste streams based on the composition and characteristics of waste streams. In particular, the present invention provides a process for generating individual waste streams based on a set of material characteristics. Containerized transportable building structure and method of assembly

Method and apparatus for transforming a plurality of standard-size shipping containers into a finished multi-level building structure of a scale to accommodate humans. Each of the illustrated shipping containers has an open generally rectangular center structural frame which supports panels to provide exterior base, end and top walls. A pair of movable side walls, each having a structural frame and wall panel, are connected to the center frame to complete the enclosure. The containers hold wall and roof sections. Initially the containers are stacked atop one another with their base walls at the bottom. Then, starting at the lowermost container, the side walls, which are hingedly connected along their bottom edges to the center frame, are opened by being pivoted outwardly, downwardly to provide extended floor portions that are in general horizontal alignment with the associated base wall. Then support structures or members are secured to that extended floor portions to provide support for the extended floor portions of the next higher level. Next, the moveable side walls of the next higher container are similarly opened and secured to the support members so as to generally vertically align with the extended floor portions below them. This continues until all the stacked containers have been opened. Finally, wall and roof panels stored in the containers are removed and installed.

Release of Stored Ammonia at Start-Up

A system for storage and dosing of ammonia, including a solid ammonia storage material capable of binding and releasing ammonia reversibly by adsorption / absorption. The system is able to release ammonia gradually according to a demand that can vary over time with intermediate periods of no ammonia demand. A main storage unit and a start-up storage unit are provided. The storage units hold ammonia storage material. At least one one-way valve is provided via which the one main storage unit is in communication with the start-up storage unit. The one-way valve prevents any back-flow of ammonia from the start-up storage unit to the main storage unit. Heating devices are arranged to heat the main storage unit and the start-up storage unit separately to generate gaseous ammonia by thermal desorption from the solid storage material. A controller controls the heating power of the main storage unit and the start-up storage unit, thereby enabling ammonia release from at least one of the start-up and / or the main storage unit. A dosing valve controls ammonia flow from the storage units according to a demand.

Duplex yoke mooring system

An offshore offloading system for hydrocarbon products from a storage station such as an LNG / FPSO to a shuttle vessel. The system includes a yoke mooring arrangement having a yoke and a connection assembly. One end of the yoke is selectively disconnectable to the shuttle vessel, while the other end of the yoke is rotatably connected to an end of the connection assembly which has its other end rotatably connected to a frame which extends from an end of the storage station. The yoke and connection assembly are arranged such that a transverse force in the lateral or y-direction moves the end of the yoke less than twice the movement of the yoke in response to an x-direction force. The system also includes arrangements for providing a hydrocarbon fluid flow path from the storage station to the shuttle vessel when the shuttle vessel is disconnectably moored to the storage station. A first fluid flow path arrangement includes a crane / boom arrangement mounted on a frame extension of the storage station so that a crane slewing arc radius of the transfer system is not larger than one half the separation distance between the storage station and a forward perpendicular of the shuttle vessel. A second arrangement includes a fixed frame with a piping pantograph mount at its end. A trolley and service platform suspended therefrom move between an operational position away from the pantograph and a service position beneath the pantograph when it is folded into a storage position.

The invention discloses a carbonated steel slag aggregate and a preparation method thereof. The method comprises the following steps: sieving steel slag subjected to iron separation, taking particles with size between 0.5-25 mm particle for high pressure water flushing, and naturally drying the particles; immersing the dried steel slag particles in a mixed solution of 20-300 g / L caustic soda and 60-300 g / L sodium carbonate for 24 h, and maintaining the temperature at 20-60 DEG C; draining the soaked steel slag particles, immediately placing the particles in a sealed carbonation reactor, and introducing CO2 gas with purity over 99.9% for curing at the temperature of 70-90 DEG C for 0.5 h, and with the CO2 gas pressure at 0.2-0.5 MPa; cooling the steel slag particles subjected to carbonation treatment under natural conditions to room temperature, so as to obtain the carbonated steel slag aggregate. The steel slag aggregate treated by the method has compact surface structure to reduce water for concrete mixing; free magnesium oxide and free calcium oxide are conversed into carbonate precipitation to eliminate the hidden trouble of adverse stability; CO2 can be stored stably; the amount of natural aggregate is reduced to save nonrenewable resources; and the method has easily available raw materials and simple process.
