The invention discloses a
hybrid network gateway combining a CAN with an
Ethernet network in a body and a
data exchange method thereof. The
hybrid network gateway comprises a CAN message transmitting and receiving module, an
Ethernet message transmitting and receiving module, a
signal processing conversion module and a logic main control module, wherein the CAN message transmitting and receiving module is used for carrying out communication with equipment on a
CAN bus on a vehicle; the
Ethernet message transmitting and receiving module is used for carrying out communication with equipment on the Ethernet and comprises an upper computer and novel Ethernet vehicle-mounted equipment; the
signal processing conversion module is used for
parsing, packaging and forwarding a CAN message and an Ethernet message and enabling the CAN message and the Ethernet message to accord with a requested protocol and is compatible to the universal Ethernet; and the logic main control module is used for determining a message distribution direction, responding to instructions, such as related diagnosis and like, which are sent by an Ethernet diagnosis port, and controlling onboard
peripheral equipment to acquire
data information. One gateway can simultaneously communicate with multiple paths of CAN networks. The
hybrid network gateway uses a vehicle-mounted twisted-pair as an
Ethernet communication bus, and compared with conventional RJ45, has the advantages of low cost,
interference resistance and the like. A refresh instruction (such as a 3E maintaining instruction) on the vehicle-mounted equipment is subjected to special
processing, so that both the vehicle-mounted CAN equipment and the gateway can be efficiently refreshed by the Ethernet.
