Apparatus and a method for enhancing the interference resistance of so-called RFID systems, wherein identification messages delivered from an identification device are longer than the time for which an anticipated interference or disturbance is calculated to continue, and wherein the messages contain redundancy, such as a checksum. The messages are delivered from the identification device repetitively, and are redundancy checked. In the event of any discrepancy in the redundancy check, such as when the checksum is checked against the data content of the message and is found in disagreement, successive messages are checked bit for bit against each other. Any deviations between otherwise previously rejected messages are assumed to be due to external interference and are thus successively substituted until the redundancy check gives an accepted result, such as through the medium of a checksum check according to the so-called CRC method.

Pressure pulse generator for measurement-while-drilling systems which produces high signal strength and exhibits high resistance to jamming

A system is disclosed for generating and transmitting data signals to the surface of the earth while drilling a borehole, the system operating by generating pressure pulses in the drilling fluid filling the drill string. The system is designed to maximize signal strength while minimizing the probability of jamming by drilling fluid particulates. The system uses a rotary valve modulator consisting of a stator with flow orifices through which drilling fluid flows, and a rotor which rotates with respect to the stator thereby opening and restricting flow through the orifices and thereby generating pressure pulses. The flow orifices with the stator in a "closed" position are configured to reduce jamming, and to simultaneously minimize flow area in order to maximize signal strength. This is accomplished by imparting a shear to the fluid flow through the modulator, and minimizing the aspect ratio and maximizing the minimum principal dimension of the closed flow area. A preferred embodiment and three alternate embodiments of the modulator are disclosed.

Preferably, in a second frame structure the data blocks of a particular mapping input data stream are spread in time and frequency over various data symbols and various data segments of the second frames to provide high robustness against disturbances. The payload portion of the second frame is preferably segmented into various data segments enabling use of a narrow-band receiver, even if both the first and second frames cover the same total channel bandwidth.

The present invention provides a cross-layer design framework for the multiple access and routing problems in interference-limited wireless ad-hoc networks. It identified interference as an essential factor that couples multiple access and routing decisions through the trade-off between MAC throughput and path length. It formulates an optimization problem that maximizes the multiple access throughputs subject to constraints on the path length, single-to-interference-and-noise-ratio, and transmission power. It incorporates interference into the routing metric and reduces problem complexity via the set-based routing concept that solves the problem for a set of spatially close source nodes. Accordingly, the present invention introduces a joint routing, scheduling and power control algorithm that handles intra-set interference. In addition, it adopted a simple set coordination scheme for handling inter-set interference.

The sensor comprises a substrate, an exciting electrode with a comb structure, a vibration sensitive electrode with a comb structure, a shielding electrode, an electric field inductive electrode, a crossbeam and a supporting beam, wherein the exciting electrode with the comb structure is fixed on one side of the substrate by ananchor point, while the vibration sensitive electrode with the comb structure is fixed on the other side of the substrate by an anchor point; the shielding electrode and the electric field inductive electrode are fixed on the area of the substrate in the middle of the exciting electrode and the vibration sensitive electrode; the shielding electrode and the electric field inductive electrode are alternately arranged; the crossbeam is positioned in the middle of the shielding electrode; one end of the supporting beam is fixed on the substrate by the anchor point, while the other end is connectedwith the exciting electrode and the vibration sensitive electrode. The resonance miniature electric field sensor can reduce the static exciting voltage of a device, improve the sensitivity and precision of the sensor, and further improve the environment interference resistance capability of the sensor.

Optical three-dimensional measuring method based on phase coding technology

The invention relates to an optical three-dimensional measuring method based on a phase coding technology, belonging to the technical field of three-dimensional measurement. The method comprises the following steps of: (1) producing a grating coding stripe image by a computer; (2) projecting the grating coding stripe image by using digital projection equipment; and (3) acquiring the grating coding stripe image and performing coding solution and three-dimensional measurement by adopting a phase-shift algorithm. The method is characterized in that: the number of pixels in each grating period of the grating coding stripe image equals to the step number of the adopted phase-shift algorithm; the gray scale of the pixels in each grating period of the grating coding stripe image meets sine or cosine curve distribution, and the gray-scale value of the pixels are extreme points of the corresponding sine or cosine function. Compared with the traditional sine phase-shift coding method, the method has strong interference resistance to the nonlinear influence of gamma rays of the digital projection equipment, the coding has higher stability, reliability and correctness, and the method is important in the aspect of accurate measurement of an optical three-dimensional outline on the external surface of an object.
