An access server architecture, and methods for use of the architecture, are disclosed. The architecture and methods are designed to increase the scalability of and balance processor load for a network access server. In this architecture, packet forwarding and packet processing are distributed amongst the cards serving the low-speed access lines, such that each line card is responsible for performing forwarding and packet processing for packets associated with the low-speed ports that line card serves. As the number of line cards expands, forwarding resources are expanded in at least rough proportion. The method also includes grouping a number of erased elements included in the plurality of elements into a first set, and storing the erase counts associated with the first set in a memory component of the memory system. Grouping the number of elements into the first set typically includes selecting erased elements included in the plurality of elements which have the highest associated erase counts of the erase counts associated with the plurality of elements.

The present invention pertains to a computer software implemented method, system, and apparatus for automatic updating disk drive configuration and rebuilding RAID data to assure proper data storage in a RAID configured system. The computer software implemented configuration mechanism utilizing CPU and memory of a computer system automatically generates a full configuration of the disk drives connected to system peripheral bus both at system initialization time and runtime. The configuration mechanism uses a computer-implemented procedure for scanning a newly added disk drive, detecting conflict to the existing configuration, resolving conflicts, finding a proper target referenced or ruined disk drive, replacing this target disk drive with the newly added disk drive, rebuilding the RAID data into the added disk drive, updating RAID configuration with the added disk drive, and presenting to the host operating system the current configuration information.

Nucleic acid molecules of the biological sample are sequenced, such that a fraction of the genome is sequenced. Respective amounts of a clinically-relevant chromosome and of background chromosomes are determined from results of the sequencing. The determination of the relative amounts may count sequences of only certain length. A parameter derived from these amounts (e.g. a ratio) is compared to one or more cutoff values, thereby determining a classification of whether a fetal chromosomal aneuploidy exists. Prior to sequencing, the biological sample may be enriched for DNA fragments of a particular sizes.

A method of making a lead frame and a partially patterned lead frame package with near-chip scale packaging (CSP) lead-counts is disclosed, wherein the method lends itself to better automation of the manufacturing line as well as to improving the quality and reliability of the packages produced therefrom.
