PCT No. PCT / RU95 / 00241 Sec. 371 Date Jan. 27, 1998 Sec. 102(e) Date Jan. 27, 1998 PCT Filed Nov. 10, 1995 PCT Pub. No. WO97 / 05557 PCT Pub. Date Feb. 13, 1997An electronic gaming system is disclosed that includes a central computer station, a plurality of peripheral computer stations, and a data exchange network for coupling the peripheral computer stations to the central computer station. The central computer station includes an administrative subsystem, a player's registration subsystem, a game accounts managing subsystem, an information tabulating, storing and searching subsystem, a game recording subsystem, a scoring subsystem, a wagering and betting subsystem, an executive gaming subsystem, an electronic payment subsystem, an information protection subsystem, a secure communications subsystem, and a game selection subsystem. Each of the peripheral computer stations include a subsystem for admitting and registering players with the central computer station and a gaming interface subsystem. To ensure security of the electronic gaming system, a player seeking to enter the system transmits an encoded message from their peripheral computer station to the central computer station that includes a set of key attributes associated with the player. The central computer station decodes and compares the transmitted set of key attributes with individual information previously stored in the information protection subsystem in order to identify each player during registration based upon the set of key attributes transmitted by each player. The system may automatically control money transactions with each player's bank accounts based upon the player's scoring and wagers in each selected game.

Semiconductor device and method for forming the same

In a thin-film insulated gate type field effect transistor having a metal gate in which the surface of the gate electrode is subjected to anodic oxidation, a silicon nitride film is provided so as to be interposed between the gate electrode and the gate insulating film to prevent invasion of movable ions into a channel, and also to prevent the breakdown of the gate insulating film due to a potential difference between the gate electrode and the channel region. By coating a specific portion of the gate electrode with metal material such as chrome or the like for the anodic oxidation, and then removing only the metal material such as chrome or the like together with the anodic oxide of the metal material such as chrome or the like, an exposed portion of metal gate (e.g. aluminum) is formed, and an upper wiring is connected to the exposed portion. Further, an aluminum oxide or silicon nitride is formed as an etching stopper between the gate electrode and the gate insulating film or between the substrate and the layer on the substrate, so that the over-etching can be prevented and the flatness of the element can be improved. In addition, a contact is formed in no consideration of the concept "contact hole".

Static and dynamic 3-D human face reconstruction

A system for three-dimensional (3-D) facial animation, including a base 3-D surface model representing a human face, and a set of displacement fields representing surface motion patterns associated with muscle movements. Each displacement field is a displacement vector varying over vertices of the base surface model and an intensity variable. Both the base surface model and displacement fields are acquired from a live subject by 3-D acquisition. The data are acquired using a surface acquisition system, capable of measuring the coordinates of a set of points on the subject's face and reconstructing the facial surface as a surface model. The base surface model is acquired by reconstructing the surface of the subject's face in the neutral pose. Each displacement field is acquired by reconstructing the surface of the subject's face in a series of poses of a muscle movement at increasing intensities. This results in a sequence of surface models exhibiting the changing shape of the face over the progress of the muscle movement. The displacement field is derived by calculating displacements at each selected intensity value and then interpolating over the known displacements.
