Radiation-crosslinking and thermally crosslinking pu systems based on isocyanate-reactive block copolymers

The present invention provides polyurethane systems which cure by radiation and thermal action with crosslinking, and use thereof for the production of holographic media. The polyurethane compositions of the invention comprise A) polyisocyanates, B) isocyanate-reactive block copolymers, C) compounds having groups which react on exposure to actinic radiation with ethylenically unsaturated compounds with polymerization, D) optionally free radical stabilizers and E) photoinitiators.

Optical recording medium

An optical recording medium according to the invention has a disc body 11 in which a label side 11b can be viewed from a light incident side 11a, a printing layer 12 that is provided on the label side 11b of the disc body 11, and an ink receiving layer that is provided on the printing layer 12. Accordingly, the printed content of the printing layer 12 can be viewed from the light incident side 11a and a user can print a desired design on the ink receiving layer 13. Therefore, the design flexibility can be enhanced and a possibility of erroneous handling of the optical recording medium by the user can be drastically reduced. In addition, the optical recording medium by manufacturer or brand can be visually discriminated.

Optical storage medium

An optical disk has a first substrate having a recording layer thereon, information to be recorded on the recording layer being reproducible with irradiation of a laser beam, a reflective layer formed on the recording layer, and a second transparent substrate, the laser beam being incident to the second substrate in reproduction. The first and the second substrates are bonded to each other by a bonding layer via the reflective layer. The bonding layer includes ultraviolet-hardened resin and at least one type of photochromic dye that is stable against the laser beam. In another type, the first substrate maybe transparent. Instead of the second substrate, this type has a hardcoat layer formed on a surface of the first substrate opposite to another surface thereof having the recording layer thereon, the laser beam being incident to the hardcoat layer in reproduction. The hardcoat layer includes ultraviolet-hardened resin and at least one type of photochromic dye that is stable against the laser beam.

Optical disc, its reproducing device, recording device, manufacturing method, and integrated circuit

An optical disc (101) to and from which information can be reproduced and recorded by laser irradiation is provided with a first recording layer (102) and a second recording layer (104). The first recording layer (102) has a first recording mark (103) that is formed in a spiral track. The second recording layer (104) is behind or in front of the read-side surface of the first recording layer (102), and neither a wobble track nor a track for reproducing or recording information by laser irradiation is formed on the second recording layer (104). On the second recording layer (104) are formed, by laser irradiation, a second recording mark (105) that is positioned in the radial direction of the optical disc according to a predetermined position on the spiral track of the first recording layer. The optical disc (101) ensures the secrecy of the copyright protected information that is recorded thereto and the copyright protection function of the optical disc (101), and is resistant against illegal copying.

Radio tag antenna structure for an optical recording medium and a case for an optical recording medium with a radio tag antenna

An antenna comprises a dielectric member, an antenna pattern formed on one surface of the dielectric member, and a ground pattern formed on the other surface of the dielectric member. A part or the whole of the antenna is implanted in a dielectric layer on the side from which a laser beam does not come in of an optical recording medium symmetrically having a metal layer reflecting the laser beam and the dielectric layer, thereby to provide a radio tag antenna structure for an optical recording medium which is simple, is small-sized, and can secure necessary reading performance.

Content preservation

A long-term solution for document and information storage is based on the storage of an image of the actual document, rather than on binary coding. Associated with the storing of this image are readers and writers that allow reading / writing in numerous formats as well as the supplementing of the stored image with other data such as digital data, bar code(s), metadata, retrieval information, and the like. This human readable format has the capability of removing the need for interpreting devices, hardware and / or software for retrieval of the stored image(s).

Optical disc, information recording method, information reproducing method, and disc drive

According to one embodiment, a write-once optical disc which uses a short-wavelength laser allows BCA information recording even using a long-wavelength laser. To this end, a groove is cut in advance on a BCA part on a molded substrate of the optical disc to store a dye. In this way, the sensitivity of the dye in the BCA increases, to allow a laser having a wavelength other than the wavelength corresponding to information recording of the dye to record a barcode pattern on the BCA.
