A method of exterminating organisms is provided utilizing heated circulating air. First, a determination is made as to which enclosed areas of the building or other structure are to undergo extermination. This step defines an application zone. Next, a desired elevated temperature limit is established for heated air that is to be circulated through the application zone. Heaters are provided in airflow communication with the application zone, and circulation fans are positioned throughout the application zone to move the heated air for proper heat distribution. The heaters utilize an amount of recirculated air already present in the application zone to cut down on the amount of energy needed to raise the air temperature within the application zone towards the desired elevated temperature limit, and to eliminate the need for high CFM airflow heaters to achieve air temperature elevation. The temperature at various nodes within the application zone may be monitored to allow personnel to redirect circulating airflow within the application zone to balance out areas of higher air temperature with areas of lower air temperature. The method takes advantage of convection heat transfer to raise the temperature evenly within an application zone, minimizing temperature stratification which could result in ineffective pest extermination and / or damage to equipment and facilities.

By adopting the seedling raising method for the oil-used peony seeds, seed dormancy can be effectively broken during breeding, so that seeds are quickly germinated, germination of seeds is accelerated, the emergence rate of seeds is improved, the emergence time is shortened, the emergence is even, and the growth indexes of young seedlings such as fresh weight, plant height, root system and the like are improved to different degrees; and the method does not have pollution to the environment.

Pretreated, hot biomass is added under high pressure at the top of a discharge vessel, which is partially filled with water or aqueous solution. The vessel comprises water jets situated on its sides through which water or aqueous solution is injected in order to establish a strong turbulence in the lower part of the vessel. This turbulence, preferably a vortex turbulence or “hydrocyclone,” blends biomass and water and disintegrates any clumped material prior to its ejection at high speed as a slurry through an orifice or valve at the bottom of the vessel. A stable temperature stratification is established within the discharge vessel, whereby hot water remains at the top of the vessel, reducing heat and steam loss from the pretreatment reactor.

The invention relates to the field of power line equipment maintenance, and discloses an adjacent grid temperature stratification detail forecast method and system. The method and the system aim to increase the vertical temperature resolution of a point where swinging occurs easily and are high in precision, high in computation speed and wide in range. The method includes the steps that firstly, according to the ground temperature lapse rate and related temperature data, the temperatures at the elevations of ground above mean sea-level, corresponding to a to-be-analyzed swinging point in the vertical direction, of adjacent grid points in a corresponding series of grids are calculated; then, according to the calculated values of the temperatures, the temperature at the elevation of ground above mean sea-level of the to-be-analyzed swinging point is calculated with a bilinear interpolation method; meanwhile, according to the vertical temperature lapse rate between every two adjacent grids of related grid points, the corresponding vertical temperature lapse rate, between the adjacent grids, of the to-be-analyzed swinging point is calculated with a weighted average method; finally, according to the temperature at the elevation of ground above mean sea-level of the to-be-analyzed swinging point and the vertical temperature lapse rate between every two adjacent grids, the temperature data of corresponding detailed layers is calculated.
