Packet losses are concealed by using the spectral analysis filter memory to smooth a signal gap and by using a technique for determining a maximum repeatable waveform range instead of using the pitch period to reproduce lost packets. The invention uses fewer processing resources and results in improved performance compared to a packet loss concealment algorithm under G.711 Appendix I standards.

Encapsulated expanded crimped metal mesh for sealing and EMI shielding applications

A composite gasket for sealing and EMI shielding is provided. The gasket has a resilient conductive mesh sheet embedded with an elastomer gel layer. The conductive mesh is corrugated to provide a series of repeating waveforms, providing the gasket with a lower deflection force, better corrosion resistance, and a higher EMI shielding capability. A second elastomer can be used around the edge portions of the gasket for improved abrasion resistance and increased tensile strength. A fiberglass sheet can be incorporated in the mesh for added reinforcement and support. The gaskets of the invention can be used on external aircraft components, such as external aircraft antenna mounts.

The various embodiments may combine data from multiple modulation repeats into a single highly interpolated pulse, which may result in a real-time finer range measurement from CW Lidar, Radar, or Sonar systems.

Methods and devices provide physiological movement detection with active sound generation. In some versions, a processor may detect breathing and / or gross body motion. The processor may control producing, via a speaker coupled to the processor, a sound signal in a user's vicinity. The processor may control sensing, via a microphone coupled to the processor, a reflected sound signal. This reflected sound signal is a reflection of the sound signal from the user. The processor may process the reflected sound, such as by a demodulation technique. The processor may detect breathing from the processed reflected sound signal. The sound signal may be produced as a series of tone pairs in a frame of slots or as a phase-continuous repeated waveform having changing frequencies (e.g., triangular or ramp sawtooth). Evaluation of detected movement information may determine sleep states or scoring, fatigue indications, subject recognition, chronic disease monitoring / prediction, and other output parameters.

Jitter measurements for repetitive clock signals

A system and a method for measuring and quantitatively analyzing the jitter in repetitive electrical signals in a chip using a tester are described. The tester sorts chips based on the jitter measurements, thereby eliminating the need for external instrumentation. The waveform is sampled by the tester at various points of a period over a large number of periods and results are collected. The data is analyzed to determine the total range where the waveform is found to undergo a transition. The transition area is further analyzed to pinpoint the precise location of the transition for each period of the repetitive waveform. The data is used to quantify the jitter by means of statistical analyses, the results of which are used by the tester to sort the chips by comparing the calculated jitter characteristics to predetermined criteria.
