Universal model predictive controller

A method for building robust model predictive controller universally applicable is presented based on the innate process characteristics independent of the method of control actuation. The method of universal MPC design permits proper configuration of requisite regulatory control loops for measured and unmeasured disturbance rejections consistent with the underlying innate process characteristics and their embedding within the overall process unit model predictive controller. The method of universal MPC design requires that manipulated variables process value based model (PV-based models) be used in control and optimization in place of the customary set point based models (SP-based models) or control output based models (OP-based models). The PV-based models are devoid of the manipulated variables regulatory controllers response and tuning. Based on the PV-based models, an alternate method of MPC called PV-based MPC is presented that is most robust and adaptable of possible three types of MPC. Based on the universal MPC design, the prior art MPC can be adapted to improve its robustness at or near control valve saturation.

Method and system for detecting abnormal operation of a level regulatory control loop

A system facilitates detecting an abnormal operation associated with a level regulatory control loop in a process plant. A model for modeling at least a portion of the level regulatory control loop may be utilized with respect to first and second signals associated with regulatory control of a level of material in a tank. The model may include a first regression model in a first range corresponding to a first operating region of the level regulatory control loop. The model may be capable of being subsequently configured to include at least a second regression model in at least a second respective range corresponding to at least a second respective operating region different than the first operating region. The model may generate a prediction of the second signal as a function of first signal. It may be determined whether the second signal significantly deviates from the prediction of the second signal generated by the model. If there is a significant deviation, this may indicate an abnormal operation associated with the level regulatory control loop.

The method comprises the steps of acquiring a first label on a certificate, and acquiring a first information code; processing the first information code for reduction, and acquiring a location parameter, an accreditation verification parameter and a third digital signature value; verifying the legitimacy of the location parameter, the accreditation verification parameter and the third digital signature value; verifying whether information of the certificate is valid; acquiring biological features of a certificate holder, and matching and verifying the biological features of the certificate holder and biological features of a legal certificate holder stored in a certificate information database. By adopting the method, the authenticity of the certificate and the certificate holder can be verified by acquiring the first label of the certificate and the biological features of the certificate holder or query can be performed by acquiring a second label via an intelligent mobile terminal. Query and verification of certificate information can be performed, unified regulatory control can be realized, the anti-counterfeit effect is good, the security is high, and the method and the system can be widely applied in the field of certificate regulation.

Proviral plasmids contain a modular gene expression cassette with one or a combination of (i) a wildtype 5′ AAV2 ITR sequence flanked by unique restriction sites that permit ready removal or replacement of said ITR; (ii) a promoter flanked by unique restriction sites that permit ready removal or replacement of the entire promoter sequence; (iii) a polylinker sequence that permits insertion of a gene coding sequence without modification thereof, wherein the gene is operatively linked to, and under the regulatory control of, the aforementioned promoter; (iv) a bovine growth hormone polyadenylation sequence flanked by unique restriction sites that permit ready removal or replacement of said polyA sequence; and (v) a wildtype 3′ AAV2 ITR sequence flanked by unique restriction sites that permit ready removal or replacement of the 3′ ITR. These plasmids enable rapid manipulation of the components of the cassette, e.g., rapid mutation and / or replacement of any component, and thereby increase the efficiency of recombinant viral vector, e.g., rAAV, production.

Production of rabies antibodies in plants

Human rabies monoclonal antibodies (rabies MAbP) comprising rabies human MAb S057 heavy chain and light chain subunits are expressed and assembled in plants under the control of two strong constitutive promoters. Additionally, regulatory control elements such as alfalfa mosaic virus untranslated leader sequence and Lys-Asp-Glu-Leu (KDEL) endoplasmic reticulum retention signal were linked at the N- and C-terminus of the heavy chain of human rabies MAbP, respectively to regulate expression of the rabies MAbP. Rabies MAbP was as effective at neutralizing the activity of the rabies virus as the mammalian-derived antibody (MAbM) or human rabies immunoglobulin (HRIG).

Although most contemporary and envisioned microfluidic systems are entirely passive or have limited control capabilities, future microfluidic systems require detailed sequenced control of valves and other elements. For this software-control of transport and processes for microfluidic systems under the control of temporal and/or event-driven scripts, script authoring and editing, functional libraries, and other development tools for process and configuration control are proposed with intent towards future standardization. Scripts can respond to external inputs and can comprise conditional-logic, temporal-logic, calculations, hierarchical structure, subroutines, macros, multi-thread and parallel execution operations, procedural calls, interrupts, real-time regulatory control calculations, and element resource allocation.
Scripts can be executed by a script reader, responsive to incoming signals and information, to produce temporal control sequences for operating microfluidic devices, emulation hardware, simulation software, process visualization, etc.
Script authoring/editing tools and readers can record and store information, and can interface to with commercial software, systems, languages, and protocols.
