The invention discloses an environment-friendly anti-freezing material and a method for preparing the same. The material mainly consists of
formate,
carbonate, citrate and binary
carboxylate. The method for preparing the environment-friendly anti-freezing material includes steps: mixing the
formate, the
carbonate, the citrate and the binary
carboxylate according to proportion, and stirring the
formate, the
carbonate, the citrate and the binary
carboxylate for 10 to 30 minutes so that the formate, the carbonate, the citrate and the binary carboxylate are mixed uniformly to form mixture; spraying
starch solution or
sodium silicate solution with the
mass ranging from 1% to 10% of that of the mixture into the mixture, simultaneously continuously stirring the solution and the mixture for 15 to 60 minutes, and leading generated particles out of a container; and
drying and sieving the particles to obtain particles with the sizes
ranging from 0.1mm to 5mm, and bagging and sealing the particles to obtain the environment-friendly anti-freezing material, wherein the concentration of the
starch solution or the
sodium silicate solution used as
adhesive ranges from 1wt% to 2wt%. The anti-freezing material is added into an
asphalt mixture to be laid on an upper
surface layer of a pavement, various index performances of the pavement are stable, freezing of the pavement at the temperature
ranging from 0 DEG C to minus 18 DEG C can be effectively prevented, the applicable temperature range is wide, sustainable time is long, a long-term benefit can be realized by means of one-step investment, winter
pavement management and maintenance cost can be greatly reduced, and the material is environment-friendly and energy-saving.
