The invention relates to the field of pond returning for
recovery of forests and wetlands and discloses a method for returning ponds for
recovery of forests and wetlands. The method comprises the steps of selecting the fish ponds with the bottom elevations lower than a
high tide line, forming gaps to completely or partially
discharge water in the fish ponds, and then selecting
mangrove plant seedlings for planting according to different elevations, wherein pioneer
tree species are mainly planted in a middle-low tide zone,
kandelia candel and / or rhizophora stylosa is planted in a middle tide zone, at least one of bruguiera gymnorrhiza, bruguiera sexangular and ceriops tagal is mainly planted in a
high tide zone, and at least one of excoecaria agallocha, lumnitzera racemosa and semi-
mangrove plants is mainly planted on the banks of the fish ponds. By adopting the provided method for returning the ponds for
recovery of forests and wetlands, not only can the
survival rate of
afforestation be increased, but also the manufacturing cost is reduced, the heterogeneity of the
ecological environment can also be obviously improved, and a foraging and
habitat space is created for birds, fishes and benthic animals; the requirements of a
wetland remediation principle which adopts
ecology as the top priority, natural remediation as the main content and artificial auxiliary remediation as the auxiliary content are met, and the
wetland remediation purpose of building forests and wetlands on appropriate sites is achieved.
