Ocean wave energy converter

A long cylinder shaped beam is submerged in the ocean and suspended horizontally by multiple floats for converting ocean wave energy. The long length (at least the distance of the crest of two waves) and heavy weight of the beam, give the floats something stable to pull against. The weight of the beam pulling at the floats is transferred back and forth, as the ocean swells move over the beam, which activate machine components that may be installed in the beam, the floats or with rods connecting the floats to the beam. An individual float will not lift the beam except when the tide raises all the floats. The floats will pull and release the tension of the weight of the beam at randomly different times. The shape of the beam is straight. The ocean surface is continuously curving up and down and the beam will not bend to the shape of the ocean surface, but the floats will mimic the undulating or curvy shape of the ocean surface, and that motion actives the machine. The energy of the floats pulling against the elongated component is then turned into mechanical or hydraulic energy.

This disclosure sets out a method and apparatus for recovery of cesium formate in water solution after use in a drilling process where trash and other debris accumulate in the drilling fluid. It incorporates a first stage centrifuge, a second stage centrifuge and a membrane separator serially connected, and incorporates a feedback loop. A feedback loop iteratively redirects solids and heavy weight concentrate after processing and recycles it to enhance recovery by enhanced removal of cuttings and trash in the stream. In addition, cuttings and other solids removed from the fluid stream are introduced into a wash tank, mixed with water, and the cuttings are further processed to remove remnants of the cesium formate. These recovered cesium formate remnants are passed through an evaporator to regain the density loss attributable to the dilutive wash water. The cuttings can then be thrown away without throwing away the valuable cesium formate in the drilling solution.

The silica based mixture when added to cementitious materials such as Portland cement, Class C Fly Ash, silica fume and other cementitious materials. Presented also are methods for reducing fire damage by coating interior / exterior walls, ceiling, and roofs of a building with a water based latex coating containing a fire retardant material and low heat conductivity silicas. Methods for painting internal / external walls, ceilings, and roof are also presented. This coating retains thermal blocking properties comprised of processed, expanded and / or finely milled, pyrogenic silicas and micro spheres in combination of but not limited to, one, two or more component water based polymer / copolymer latex binders and a water born fluoropolymer emulsion. The combined properties of these elements create a coating similar to paint with a high level of thermatic resistance which slows the composition break-down from fire, extreme temperatures, and restricts the thermal conductivity which helps to preserve the integrity of the substructure or underlying materials. The properties of this coating reduce or slow the potential of catastrophic fire by retarding flashover and protecting the under structure; which in turn assist fire fighters and rescue personnel by helping to retard the potential of a catastrophic fire.

The invention discloses a high-spectrum abnormal object detection method based on background dictionary learning and structure sparse expression, for solving the technical problem of low object detection efficiency by use of a conventional high-spectrum abnormal object detection method. The technical scheme is as follows: after an initial background pixel is selected based on a local RX algorithm, a robust background dictionary is obtained through learning by use of a principle component analysis dictionary learning method. In a sparse vector solving and image reconstructing process, heavy-weight Laplace prior is introduced, and thus the sparse vector solving precision is improved. Finally, according to errors between an original image and a reconstructed image, accurate extraction of an abnormal object is realized. Test results on a real high-spectrum satellite image AVIRIS and a simulated high-spectrum data set show that the detection rate of a detection result obtained by use of the method is improved by 8% to 15% under the condition of a constant fault alarm rate compared to background arts.
