Heat Exchanger With Fluid Expansion In Header

A heat exchanger includes a first header and a second header and a plurality of heat exchange tubes extending therebetween. Each heat exchange tube has an inlet end opening to one of the headers and an outlet opening to the other header. Each heat exchange tube has a plurality of channels extending longitudinally in parallel relationship from its inlet end to its outlet end, each channel defining a discrete refrigerant flow path. The inlet end of each of the plurality of heat exchange tubes is positioned with the inlet opening to the channels disposed in spaced relationship with and facing an opposite inside surface of the header thereby defining a relatively narrow gap between the inlet opening to the channels and the facing opposite inside surface of the header. The gap may function either as a primary expansion device or as a secondary expansion device.

With a liquid discharge device, a maximum of N liquid droplets are discharged so as to land within each pixel region for forming a pixel corresponding to the pixel region, a target landing position is selected at random for each liquid droplet, from M liquid landing position candidates, forming an array in the direction of an array of nozzles, determined such that at least a part of the landing liquid droplet region corresponding to each landing position candidate is included within the pixel region, and the discharge direction of the liquid droplet is controlled such that the liquid droplet lands at the determined target landing position. The liquid discharge device having such a configuration has the advantage of preventing occurrence of streaks between dot columns in a printed image due to irregularities in an array of discharge portions.

Preparation method of PIPD/PBO (poly(dihydroxyphenylene pyridobisimidazole)/poly-p-phenylene ben-zobisthiazole) blend fiber

The invention relates to a preparation method of a PIPD / PBO (poly(dihydroxyphenylene pyridobisimidazole) / poly-p-phenylene ben-zobisthiazole) blend fiber and belongs to the technical field of blend fibers. The technology comprises the steps of preparation of a PIPD / PPA (phenyl-propanolamine) polymer solution, preparation of a PBO / PPA polymer solution, mixed preparation of a PIPD / PBO polymer, preparation of freshly formed filaments, drawing, solidification, water washing and drying. According to the PIPD / PBO blend fiber prepared by the method, the PIPD polymer is introduced into a PBO fiber, that is to say, a little PIPD is added into a PBO polymer matrix. The wettability and bonding performance of the PBO fiber with a resin matrix are improved on the premise that the excellent mechanical property, high-temperature resistance and flame resistance of the PBO fiber are not reduced.

A system and method for uniformly distributing fluids (e.g., washing and in-service) through a filter bed of a filter. The system and method of the present invention can be used with any type of filter that uses media to remove impurities from a fluid. The filter bed can include one or more layers of media. The media can be natural (e.g., sand, gravel, anthracite, etc.) or can be fabricated (e.g., plastic). The filter media can be supported by one or more layers of gravel. Alternatively, the filter media can be supported by a porous plate or other support designed to replace the gravel layers. The present invention includes a system having one or more distribution members configured to uniformly distribute a fluid through a filter bed of a filter. Preferably, the one or more distribution members can be readily installed by relatively unskilled labor in both existing filters and new filters. In a preferred embodiment, the one or more distribution members are configured to extend into at least a portion of an underdrain from above the underdrain. In retrofit applications, the preferred design of the one or more distribution members is such that no significant alteration of the distribution chamber, underdrain or fluid velocity is necessary.
