Shaped, preferably porous, inorganic bodies are provided which are prepared from a reactive blend. In accordance with one preferred embodiment, the solution is absorbed into a porous sacrificial substrate such as a cellulose sponge. The solution-saturated substrate is heated and an oxidation-reduction reaction occurs thereby forming an inorganic solid. A shaped, inorganic body is formed in situ. Optional, but preferred additional thermal treatment of the shaped, inorganic body removes the organic substrate, leaving an inorganic body that faithfully mimics the porosity, shape, and other physical characteristics of the organic substrate. Inorganic substrates may also be used to good effect. Large varieties of shaped bodies can be prepared in accordance with other embodiments of the invention and such shapes find wide use in surgery, laboratory and industrial processes and otherwise. The invention also provides chemically and morphologically uniform powders, including those having uniformly small sizes.

The invention discloses a method for determining a local optimal route of ship navigation by aiming at the convex obstacles. The method includes the following six steps: confirming the starting point, the target point and the area of the navigation by combining the task information; generating the no-sail zones according to the convex obstacles in the navigation area; using the longitude and latitude to generate a grid map based on the navigation area; calculating all the basic elements of the navigation route-planning technology; connecting the starting point with the target point by a straight line and calculating the included angle between the connecting line and the north direction; introducing the included angle as heuristic information into the navigation route-planning technology to obtain a local optimal route. In the method, the included angle between the north direction and the connecting line from the starting point to the target point is introduced as heuristic information into the navigation route-planning technology. Taking into account the relative positions of the starting point and the target point, the method is conveniently implanted in the ship navigation route-planning system, more efficiently provides the navigators with the local optimal route which meets the actual requirements, and makes the ship navigation safe and economical during the whole navigation route.

A device for acquiring a combined eye gaze image of an object under dark-eye effect conditions, with a first camera, a second camera, a first light source and a second light source being located on opposite sides of, and on essentially equal distance to a central optical axis. A control unit is arranged to acquire the combined eye gaze image by capturing, in a first point in time, a first frame of the object with the first camera with the second light source activated, and, at a second point in time, capturing a second frame of the object with the second camera with the first light source activated. The device comprises no additional light sources further away from the central optical axis than the first location and the second location. The device is thereby designed as compact as possible while a sufficient eye gaze tracking accuracy and robustness is maintained.

The method comprises the steps of acquiring filtering information of a model selected at the previous moment and the observed quantity of an observer at the current moment ; determining the mixing probability of the model selected at the previous moment according to the mutual transition probability of theselected model and the probability that the model selected at the previous moment correctly describes the target motion; calculating a filtering information initial value according to the mixing probability of the model selected at the previous moment and the filtering information of the model selected at the previous moment, wherein the filtering information initial value comprises a filtering estimation result initial value and a filtering estimation error covariance initial matrix; respectively calculating a target passive tracking and positioning result of each observer at the current moment; and performing weighted fusion processing according to the target passive tracking and positioning result of each observer at the current moment to obtain a fused target tracking and positioningresult. The method and the system have the advantages that the positioning time can be shortened while the positioning precision is improved.
