A connector for engaging a mating connector comprising: (a) a housing having a longitudinal axis and a front and back orientation and being adapted for receiving a signal carrying medium; and (b) an articulated latch connected to the housing at one or more primary joints and having a plurality of sections, wherein at least one of the sections has an engagement structure which is adapted to engage a corresponding structure on the mating connector such that the connector and the mating connector cannot be separated without actuating the latch, and wherein at least two sections are connected at a secondary joint, the primary and secondary joints being configured such that, when an actuating force is applied to the articulated latch, a moment on one side of the actuation point is reduced by an opposing moment on the opposite side of the actuation point, thereby reducing the axial force on the connector.

Methods and apparatus related to the suspension and steering of all terrain vehicles (ATVs) are disclosed. An ATV having a frame and a wheel carrier for rotatably supporting a wheel is provided. A tie rod is coupled to the wheel carrier at an outer joint. An inner joint of the tie rod is preferably located in a desirable location. A method for identifying the desirable location may include the steps of defining a first reference plane associated with a full compression position of the suspension, defining a second reference plane associated with a full extension position of the suspension, identifying a reference line formed by an intersection of the first reference plane and the second reference plane, and selecting a location proximate the reference line as the desirable location for the inner joint.

A shovel for manual use, comprising a shovel blade having concave and convex faces and defining a longitudinal center-line and having side edges, an upper edge and a forward cutting edge. The shovel blade defines a handle connector receptable having a shovel handle fixed therein. A root cutting blade is fixed to the shovel blade substantially along the longitudinal center-line and projects from the concave face of the shovel blade. A sharpened root cutting edge is defined on the root cutting blade and is oriented toward the forward cutting edge of the shovel blade. The root cutting edge of the central blade preferably defines an intermediate edge recess and forms a slightly inclined sharp edge section for enhancing root cutting action. A pair of side blades are fixed to side edge portions of the shovel blade and are oriented in diverging relation projecting from the convex face of the shovel blade. An introducer sheath having a rotation component allowing rotation of a suture ring. The rotation component having a first position allowing rotation of the suture ring and a second position which secures the rotational position of the suture ring. In one embodiment, the introducer sheath comprises a main body having a head portion and a base portion, wherein at least one of the head and base portions further comprise an attached suture ring. The suture ring can be secured to one or both of the head and base portions. In another embodiment, one or both of the head portion and the base portion can be rotated about an axis approximated by the sheath. In one embodiment, a detent prohibits the head portion and base portion from separating from one another.

The present invention includes devices and related systems and methods for securing accessories to a mobile electronic device. In one embodiment, a device and system for attaching a decorative accessory to a mobile phone is provided. The device and system comprise of a connector base sized to fit the audio jack of a mobile phone and an attachment platform for one or more decorative or functional accessories that is removably attached to the connector base. In one aspect of at least one embodiment, the connector base is comprised of a continuous shaft with two ends and attached near one end to a pin which inserts into the audio jack. In one aspect of at least one embodiment, the attachment platform is comprised of a clip, pivot assembly and shoulder on which the accessory resides.

A mounting system for minimizing pointing error in image capture equipment having a first support member rotatable about a first axis and a second support member rotatable about a second axis, the second support member including an adjustable mount allowing the image capture equipment mounted to be positioned so that the center of mass of structure rotatable about the second axis is on the second axis, and the first support member includes an adjustable positioner allowing the second support member position to be adjusted along the second axis so that the center of mass of structure rotatable about the first axis is on the first axis, and further including two hand grips carried by the second support member and positioned equidistant from the second axis of rotation and on a line passing through the second axis of rotation.

A radial artery compression device configured to be releasably secured by a strap or band to the underside of a wrist of a patient and to provide adjustable and consistent compression pressure in the area of a radial artery access site to achieve hemostasis either during or after a medical procedure such as a percutaneous coronary procedure. The radial artery compression device includes a body configured to engage and secure a knob while allowing the knob to rotate with respect to the body. Rotation of the knob can cause a threaded shaft to move. The threaded shaft mechanically couples the knob to a disk-shaped compression pad. The compression pad can include one or more notches adapted to at least partially surround a sheath and/or a catheter inserted into the radial artery at the access site.

The brush is easy to pack for travel, requiring no disassembly to achieve its smallest configuration. In preferred embodiments the brush has an open, horseshoe-shaped, easy-to-clean handle, and can be disassembled for thorough cleaning.
