Seat for car

A catch member (14) extending in the width direction of a seat cushion (1) is arranged inside a front portion of the seat cushion (1) and is supported so as to be vertically movable. There are also provided a torsion spring (16) for urging the catch member (14) to move upward and a pendulum member (18) for operating with an inertial force upon an abrupt deceleration to inhibit vertical movement of the catch part. When a passenger sits on the seat cushion (1), the catch member (14) moves downward to preclude deterioration in seating comfort. When the passenger's rear end (22) starts to move forward upon an abrupt deceleration, the catch member (14) is locked and the rear end (22) is caught by the catch member (14). This makes it possible to suppressed the forward movement of the passenger with reliability, and allow lightweight and low-cost configuration with simple configuration.

Failsafe watercraft lift with convertible leveling system

A watercraft lift for raising and lowering a watercraft in water, including a buoyant pontoon, a lifting cradle and at least one pivot arm. The lifting cradle includes at least one air tank and a support bunk configured to receive and support the watercraft. The air tank has an internal chamber configured to receive and release pressurized air. The internal chamber has sufficient internal volume that when sufficient pressurized air is received therein the air tank has sufficient buoyancy to lift the lifting cradle to a raised position with the watercraft out of the water when positioned on the support bunk and that when sufficient pressurized air is released from the internal chamber the air tank loses sufficient buoyancy to sink the lifting cradle to a lowered position sufficiently submerged to receive and deploy the watercraft. The pivot arm is pivotally connected to the pontoon and pivotally connected to the lifting cradle to guide movement of the lifting cradle between the lowered position and the raised position.

Lifting apparatus

A system and method for adjusting a person's upper torso in particular, the forearms to a generally parallel position to a floor surface in relation to a work product. A lifting apparatus includes a base support for moving the lifting apparatus horizontally on a floor surface. The base support may include a plurality of wheels being lockable. A platform having a multilayer construction for supporting at least a user thereon. The multilayer construction having a non-slip layer outer layer, a compressible inner layer, and a base layer. A vertical lifting system coupled to a platform and coupled to a base support. The vertical lifting system is configured to vertically move the platform through a plurality of heights above a floor surface. The vertical lifting system may have a pair of laterally mounted hollow stanchions in which each stanchion includes a axially rotatable threaded rod for matingly receiving a gear which is mounted to a drive shaft that provides rotary movement to the gear. The vertical lifting system may include a motor coupled to the drive shaft and configured to provide rotary movement to the drive shaft. The vertical lifting system may include a controller unit coupled to the motor configured to control the operation of the motor. A non-contact foot sensing device mounted to the base support and operatively coupled to a controller unit. The sensing device is configured to detect the presence a foot of a human body underneath the platform and prevent downward movement of the platform while the foot being detected.

Step ladder apparatus

A step ladder apparatus for retention within a stake pocket comprising a frame assembly a plurality of step assemblies and an attachment assembly. The attachment assembly includes a frame flange and a wedge member. The frame assembly is positioned within the stake pocket so that the frame flange overhangs one end of the stake pocket. The base of the wedge member is inserted into the stake pocket opposite the frame flange so that the wedge flange overhangs the stake pocket on a side opposite the frame flange. As a result, the flanges cooperate to substantially preclude downward movement of the frame assembly, and, in turn, removal of the frame assembly in a downward direction from the stake pocket.
