Modular and portable target shooting system

The modular target shooting system employs tubular members and fittings made from durable materials such as EMT. The members are easily secured together and broken back down by the use of simple thumb screws threaded into weld nuts. The system is based on standard target module that includes a stanchion made from a single vertical support member and a single support base. The base has at least three feet that are deployed to provide stability, but can also pivot upwardly from the deployed position to aid in portability. The module typically has at least one horizontal support member that is used to support at least one steel target rotatably coupled to the horizontal member. The standard target module also typically has a zone target that usually includes a paper depiction of an animal or a person, or a circular target. The system can then be easily expanded horizontally by adding as many target modules as desired, and coupling them together with tubular single and double T connectors to horizontal members commonly coupled between the target modules for even greater stability.

Portable information terminal device

A portable information terminal device has a plurality of casings providing a front surface and a rear surface, respectively. The casings have walls defining spaces in which speakers are housed and thicker than walls thereof that define a space in which a component including an internal circuit is housed. The walls defining the spaces in which speakers are housed are prevented from causing resonance due to vibrations of the speakers. The walls that define the space in which the component including the internal circuit is housed may be of a minimum thickness required irrespective of resonance caused by vibrations of the speakers. With the above arrangement, the portable information terminal device is small in size and weight.

Preconditioning a wildlife foraging area

The present invention, in one embodiment, is a method of using a plurality of domestic ungulates to precondition a foraging area to enhance the attractiveness of the foraging area to a plurality of wild ungulates. The method comprises selecting the foraging area to be preconditioned, selecting a target period, selecting a preconditioning period, and providing at least one highly palatable, portable, self-limiting, animal feed supplement in the foraging area during the preconditioning period. The target period is when the plurality of wild ungulates uses the foraging area once it has been preconditioned. The preconditioning period is when the plurality of domesticated ungulates preconditions (i.e., forages) the foraging area for use by the wild ungulates during the target period. The highly palatable, portable, self-limiting, animal feed supplement attracts the plurality of domesticated ungulates to the foraging area and increases the length of stay of the plurality of domesticated ungulates in the foraging area.

The present invention, WristOx, is designed as a means of providing a user with means of extracting multiple breaths in situations that do not allow for the use of a traditional SCUBA configuration. The interchangeable compressed air cylinders allow for the user to exchange spent cylinders for full cylinders on the fly. Designed to be worn unobtrusively on the arm, the present invention foregoes the need for hoses or a second stage regulator, allowing for use in activities such as kayaking, spelunking, or even as an additional line of defense for divers and fire rescue personnel.

Substitution cipher text-encoding and un-encoding software and method

A method or computer program for encoding or un-encoding data receives a keyword string and removes characters in the keyword string which are not in a pre-approved character set and duplicate characters to form a validated keyword. The validated keyword is sequenced with un-used characters of the pre-approved character set and formed into a cipher grid. Clear text may be encoded using an algorithm in combination with the cipher grid, and encoded text may be un-encoded to form clear text using a reverse algorithm in combination with the cipher grid.

Multilevel boot method and system of digital signal processor

The invention provides a multilevel boot method and system of a digital signal processor. The method comprises following steps of executing the first-level boot program RBL (ROM boot loader) of the digital signal processor; selecting a boot mode according to a peripheral configuration circuit; reading a second-level boot program UBL (user boot loader); executing the second-level boot program UBL (user boot loader); finishing the basic configuration of the minimum system of the digital signal processor; skipping to a third-level program stored in an external flash memory (Nandflash); copying the third-level program stored in the external flash memory (Nandflash) to an internal memory; and executing the third-level program in the memory. According to the scheme of the invention, the third-level program stored in the external flash memory (Nandflash) of the digital processor is booted through a multi-level boot program mode; the third-level program may be an embedded operating system or an interrupt control system. According to the multilevel boot method of the digital signal processor, the multi-level boot program is designed aiming at the interrupt control system; an all-purpose universality solution is provided; and the boot of the embedded operating system and the interrupt control system can be supported at the same time.
