A target assembly includes special paper on which a target is imprinted and which is stored on a feeder roll in a frame and which is moved past a target area in the frame to either a take-up roll or to an exit slot. If the paper passes through the exit slot, it can be moved past a cutting slot and cut off using a knife or the like. The paper is a special rosin sized sheathing, such as forty pound wax paper, which retains the desired orientation during a target shoot, as well as makes clean, precise holes when impacted by shot whereby a precise record of a shot is made. An area on the paper adjacent to each target can be used to record data pertinent to the shoot whereby a firearm can be sighted in or a load adjusted.

A target system for light infantry weapons including a target overturnable by an impact and an actuating mechanism configured to move the target. The target is connected to the actuating mechanism via a pivot structure. Further, the actuating mechanism includes a lifter configured to lift the target to a substantially upright position, a vertical rail system and a carriage vertically moveable along the vertical rail system, and an electric motor configured to move the carriage along the vertical rail system. Also, the pivot structure is arranged on the carriage, and the lifter includes a supporting lifter device, against which the target falls when hit and which, when the carriage is lowered, lifts the target to the substantially upright position utilizing the movement of the carriage and an inertia of the target. In addition, the target system is portable and of modular construction.

An improved track-mounted movable target system is disclosed. Power is inductively transferred to a target carrier movable between first and second locations. The transferred power is used to power electrical equipment on board the target carrier. The electrical equipment may include electric motors, lights, solenoids, and control circuitry for the motors and solenoids. Preferred embodiments of the invention are implemented as track-based systems, as the track provides not only stability to the target carrier, but also protection from stray bullets to the conductive cable. For a first embodiment of the invention, power is transferred to a target carrier via a stationary inductor and a movable cable, which also provides motive force to the target carrier. For a second embodiment of the invention, power is transferred to a target carrier via a stationary cable and an inductor movable with the target carrier. For this second embodiment of the invention, electrical equipment on board the target carrier includes a drive motor for moving the carrier bidirectionally along the track. For both embodiments of the invention, communications with the target carrier may be achieved by modulating the frequency of the applied alternating current and demodulating it at the target carrier to provide control signals for control circuitry on board the target carrier.

A Soccer Goal Retainer including an enclosure buried in the ground. A bar is mounted in the enclosure and rotates about its longitudinal axis. The bar is located toward the front wall and base of the enclosure. A clamp plate is mounted on the bar by hand bolts which engage threaded openings on the bar. The clamp plate includes a lower member which is secured to the bar. A vertical member extends at right angles from the lower member and an upper member extends from the vertical member generally at right angles remote from the lower member and away from the lower member. A lip extends generally at right angles from the upper member remote from the vertical member toward the lower member. With the vertical member generally positioned vertically, the lip, the upper member and vertical member are placed over the rear rail of a soccer goal and the clamp plate is secured to the bar. The clamp plate is released from the rear rail by loosening the clamp plate from the bar. The clamp plate and the bar are then rotated in a forward manner and downwardly into the enclosure. A cover is placed over the enclosure both when the clamp plate is in use and when it is being stored.

A device is disclosed which includes a base and a pair of substantially vertical members supported by the base. A horizontal member extends substantially horizontally between the vertical members. A first mechanism selectively adjusts the vertical position of the horizontal member, while a second mechanism selectively adjusts the horizontal position of the vertical members to define a first projectile target area. A target loop is mounted to the horizontal member within the first projectile target area and defines a second projectile target area. A third mechanism is provided for selectively adjusting the position of the target loop along the horizontal member between the vertical members. Finally, an arm extension attaches the target loop to the horizontal member and includes a fourth mechanism for variably adjusting the distance between the target loop and the horizontal member within the first projectile target area.

The carrier body is rotatably mounted to a support rod such that the carrier body may freely rotate about the support rod. The interaction of the carrier body and the carrier support member controls the rotation of the carrier body about the support rod and allows the paddle to reset itself after being impacted by a projectile. A collapsible sports goal comprising goal posts, supporting members, and a folding means for selective pivoting of the supporting members between an erect configuration and a collapsed configuration without disassembly. Each goal post has a base portion. An upper supporting member includes a crossbar engaging the goal posts. A lower supporting member includes left and right support bars and a rear interposed member engaged therebetween. Forward portions of the support bars securely and pivotably engage the goal posts adjacent to the base portion. The folding means engages the upper and lower supporting members in secure pivotable relation. In the collapsed configuration, the support bars extend parallel to the goal posts in a vertical direction.

A vandal resistant sports goal net clip, or fastener, for attaching nets to the frames of sports goals. The fasteners are difficult to remove by hand and require the use of a separate tool to attach and remove the net from the frame. A modular target system utilizes standard sized pieces which may be releasably attached to form a target system. The size of the target system may be easily customized as well as the number and types of targets which are mounted to the target system.
