4684 results about "Clockwise" patented technology

Two-dimensional rotation can occur in two possible directions. A clockwise (typically abbreviated as CW) motion is one that proceeds in the same direction as a clock's hands: from the top to the right, then down and then to the left, and back up to the top. The opposite sense of rotation or revolution is (in North American English) counterclockwise (CCW) or (in Commonwealth English) anticlockwise (ACW).

Remotely controlled catheter insertion system

A remotely controlled insertion system for a medical device is described. The system comprises a robotic device and a remote control mechanism. The robotic device has a handle controller to receive and hold the control handle or proximal end of a medical device. The medical device is capable of moving in up to six ranges of motion. In ione embodiment a first motor is connected through a drive screw to a handle controller to move the medical device forward and backward. A second motor is connected to drive wheels effective to rotate the medical device clockwise and counter-clockwise. A third motor drives a series of gears that are connected to one or more control members on the medical device, this being effective to deflect a tip of the medical device so that movement of the third motor causes such deflection. A control unit is connected to all three motors.

Steerable spine implant and system

Embodiments of the invention being disclosed are directed to a spine implant that allows for in situ adjustment or steering during implantation which allows for precise placement. The structure of the device is composed of a series of hinged link components connected by dowel or shear pins allowing for the links to rotate with respect to each other. The steering feature of the device is activated by a series of tension members connected or coupled to the links. As the tension members are placed in tension, typically by pulling the appropriate member, forces are placed on the individual links to actuate / rotate them in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction. By controlling the rotation of the links, the device may be steered in the desired direction.

Portable terminal unit

A overlapping type portable terminal unit is in a closed state such that a first housing and a second housing face in the same direction and are overlapping each other. These housings are coupled at their ends by a coupling section having a shaft which passes through the both housings. The unit is in an opened state in the case that the first housing is rotated from the closed state in a clockwise direction or a counterclockwise direction. A control section selects a screen so that a first screen is displayed in the display section when the first housing is rotated in relation to the second housing clockwise from the closed state, and so that a second screen is displayed in the display section when the first housing is rotated in relation to the second housing counterclockwise.

Payline system for multiline slot play using an erasing/exposure feature

A method of playing a virtual or virtual / mechanical multireel slot game. A grid of at least 3 rows×3 columns, but preferably 3 rows×5 columns, is presented on a screen, with a second, opaque blanketing layer of color or graphics over the grid, so as to hide symbols on the reels below. After the wager, reels on the bottom layer spin (or are virtually and randomly positioned in any manner), hidden from the player by the blanketing layer. An “erasing” indicium then glides from outside the grid (preferably across the top row of 5 reels, from left to right), over the blanketing layer, erasing the color layer to expose the symbols on the reels below. The indicium preferably (or always) moves in one direction only until it hits the end of a row, the top or bottom of a column, or a revealed symbol that alters movement of the indicium. When the indicium encounters this situation, it may hesitate for a moment, then randomly pick a direction in which to continue. It may continue in the same direction or turn 90° clockwise or 90° counterclockwise. It may even move diagonally. If the indicium turns and continues over the reels, more symbols are revealed until the indicium again reaches a turning point. Payouts are awarded according to a predetermined paytable for single special symbols and / or for sets such as multiple same symbols shown, whether the symbols are contiguous or not.

Optical transmission device for bi-directional optical communication

This invention discloses an optical transmission device used for bi-directional optical communications. The optical transmission device comprises a uni-directional optical signal processing unit for performing specified optical signal processing for optical signals transmitted in a single direction and a uni-direction / bi-direction changing unit for unifying the flows of clockwise and counterclockwise optical signals in a single direction, inputting these flow-unified optical signals to the uni-directional optical signal processing unit and dividing the flow of optical signals from the uni-directional optical signal processing unit between clockwise and counterclockwise directions. Bi-directional wavelength-division multiplexing optical communications can be performed by unifying the transmission routes (flows) of optical signals transmitted in two ways in a single direction and using the existing optical transmission device for uni-directional optical communications.

Dynamically allocated ring protection and restoration technique

The disclosed network includes two rings, wherein a first ring transmits data in a clockwise direction, and the other ring transmits data in a counterclockwise direction. The traffic is removed from the ring by the destination node. During normal operations (i.e., all spans operational), data between nodes flows on the ring that would provide the minimum number of hops to the destination node. Thus, both rings are fully utilized during normal operations. The nodes periodically test the bit error rate of the links (or the error rate is constantly calculated) to detect a fault in one of the links. The detection of such a fault sends a broadcast signal to all nodes to reconfigure a routing table within the node so as to identify the optimum routing of source traffic to the destination node after the fault. Since the available links will now see more data traffic due to the failed link, traffic designated as “unprotected” traffic is given lower priority and may be dropped or delayed in favor of the “protected” traffic. Specific techniques are described for identifying a failed link, communicating the failed link to the other nodes, differentiating between protected and unprotected classes of traffic, and updating the routing tables.

Rotating operation type pressure cooker with single handle

The invention discloses a rotating operation type pressure cooker with a single handle. The rotating operation type pressure cooker comprises a pot body, pot lugs, a pot cover, a movable pressure ring, a panel, a right bracket, a left bracket and a rotating handle, wherein the pot lugs are arranged on the pot body, the movable pressure ring is fixed on the pot cover, the right bracket and the left bracket are arranged on the panel, the rotating handle is arranged on the right bracket and the left bracket, the pressure ring can be opened and closed by rotating the rotating handle, a pressure sealing ring is arranged at the inner part of the pot cover, and is used for realizing the sealing between the pot cover and the pot body, and an adjusting valve and a safety pressure valve are also arranged on the pressure cooker. When the rotating operation type pressure cooker is adopted, air can be released to pressurize the adjusting valve or to return the adjusting valve to zero by rotating the rotating handle of the pot cover by a hand in a clockwise or counterclockwise manner when the pot cover is opened, the safety valve is lowered, and the pressure ring is expanded, so that the pot cover can be opened or closed. Therefore, both the handle and an operating handle of a locking mechanism serve as an operating object; and the rotating operation type pressure cooker is simple and firm in structure.

Braided Electrical Lead

An implantable electrical lead having a plurality of insulated conductor strands and a plurality of non-conductor strands braided together to maintain the spacing of the conductors from each other to prevent the crossing of the insulated conductor strands. The non-conductor strands are often polymeric strands. In some leads, the conductor strands and non-conductor strands are braided in opposite clockwise directions from each other. The conductor strands may travel adjacent each other in a clockwise direction, crossing non-conductors alternately over then under, with the immediately adjacent conductor strand doing the same but being out of phase. A diamond braid pattern is used in some embodiments. Braids may be formed over a removable mandrel, or a non-removable shaft or tube. Braiding can provide a structure which maintains its configuration after removal from a mandrel without requiring undue stress application to the strands.
