Portable terminal unit

A overlapping type portable terminal unit is in a closed state such that a first housing and a second housing face in the same direction and are overlapping each other. These housings are coupled at their ends by a coupling section having a shaft which passes through the both housings. The unit is in an opened state in the case that the first housing is rotated from the closed state in a clockwise direction or a counterclockwise direction. A control section selects a screen so that a first screen is displayed in the display section when the first housing is rotated in relation to the second housing clockwise from the closed state, and so that a second screen is displayed in the display section when the first housing is rotated in relation to the second housing counterclockwise.

Reducing the effects of noise in non-volatile memories through multiple reads

Storage elements are read multiple times and the results are accumulated and averaged for each storage element to reduce the effects of noise or other transients in the storage elements and associated circuits that may adversely affect the quality of the read. Several techniques may be employed, including: A full read and transfer of the data from the storage device to the controller device for each iteration, with averaging performed by the controller; a full read of the data for each iteration, with the averaging performed by the storage device, and no transfer to the controller until the final results are obtained; one full read followed by a number of faster re-reads exploiting the already established state information to avoid a full read, followed by an intelligent algorithm to guide the state at which the storage element is sensed. These techniques may be used as the normal mode of operation, or invoked upon exception condition, depending on the system characteristics. A similar form of signal averaging may be employed during the verify phase of programming. An embodiment of this technique would use a peak-detection scheme. In this scenario, several verify checks are performed at the state prior to deciding if the storage element has reached the target state. If some predetermined portion of the verifies fail, the storage element receives additional programming. These techniques allow the system to store more states per storage element in the presence of various sources of noise.

Handover processing method, enb and network communication system thereof

Embodiments of the present invention includes a handover processing method, a source eNB, a neighboring eNB and a network communication system. In one embodiment of the handover processing method, a source eNB selects a target eNB from neighboring eNBs that can accept a handover request from a mobile terminal, and notifies a selection result to the mobile terminal; if handover information corresponding to the mobile terminal is received by an neighboring eNB that can accept the handover request of the mobile terminal within a preset handover waiting time, the neighboring eNB determines that it is a target eNB and cooperates with the mobile terminal to perform a handover; otherwise, the neighboring eNB determines that it is a prepared eNB and reduces its resources reserved for the mobile terminal. The present invention can effectively improve the successful handover probability.

Method for monitoring accumulated body fatigue for determining recovery during exercise or activity

The invention relates to a method for determining accumulated body fatigue index (BFI), wherein one or more parameters from the measurement of one or more signals are obtained sequentially as input and these parameters are information on the intensity of physical activity. BFI has a predetermined initial value, and next BFI value is always a sum of BFI-value and a difference. The difference is combination of upslope and optional downslope components of BFI determined with the said parameters and the upslope component and the optional downslope component are each determined with a function, which is scaled by a preset physiological character.

Voice rendering of E-mail with tags for improved user experience

Tags, such as XML tags, are inserted into email to separate email content from signature blocks, privacy notices and confidentiality notices, and to separate original email messages from replies and replies from further replies. The tags are detected by a system that renders email as speech, such as voice command platform or network-based virtual assistant or message center. For example, the system can detect the signature block or privacy notice tags and not render the signature block or privacy notice as speech. The system can render an original email message in one voice mode and the reply in a different voice mode. The tags can be inserted to identify a voice memo in which a user responds to a particular portion of an email message. Preferably, an email server that receives and stored the email message inserts the tags into the email. Alternatively, the tags could be inserted by an email client application. The tags are detected by an email parser, which can be incorporated into the system rendering email as speech, or, alternatively implemented in a separate logical entity.

The localization of nuclear apparatus proteins (NUMA) is used to identify tumor cells and different stages in the tumor progression and differentiation processes. There is a characteristic organization of NuMA in tumor cells and in phenotypically normal cells. NuMA distribution patterns are significantly less diffuse in proliferating non-malignant cells compared to malignant cells. The technique encompasses cell immunostaining using a NuMA specific antibody, and microscopic analysis of NuMA distribution within each nucleus.
