Pedestrian protection system

A pedestrian protection system is mounted in the front portion of a vehicle, and includes a controller, a forward movement holding mechanism controlled in actuation by the controller, and a contact body that a pedestrian can contact. The controller, when having predicted a collision of a pedestrian with the vehicle based on a signal from a collision predicting sensor, actuates the forward movement holding mechanism to cause a forward movement of the contact body, and based on a signal from a turn sensor when the forward movement holding mechanism carries out an upward rotation or a downward rotation at the time of contact of the forwardly moved contact body with a pedestrian, controls actuation of the restraint body so as to correspond to a pedestrian moving to a front upper side of the vehicle and a pedestrian moving to a front lower side of the vehicle, respectively.

Contoured Support Shoe Insole

An insole having a top sheet and a base layer with three pieces that include a base layer, a forefoot pad made of a clear TPR gel and a mid-foot to heel cushion made of a supersoft polyurethane. The midfoot / heel surface has a raised arch with criss-crossing longitudinal curvilinear indentations, a flattened midfoot area with a metatarsal midfoot tear-drop raised area, and a heel cup that surrounds the exterior back of the heel. A heel pod opening goes through the entirety of the thickness of base layer of the insole body and a heel pad is affixed to the bottom surface of the base layer being made of a clear TPR gel or blown EVA. There is also a supersoft heel dome and a metatarsal raised dome on the top (foot contact) surface of the insole which would be directly above the heel pod and the metatarsal midfoot area, respectively.

Magnetic control collision bumper

The invention discloses a magnetic control collision bumper. The magnetic control collision bumper comprises a working cylinder, an end cover and a bottom cover. A piston and a spring are arranged inthe working cylinder. One end of the spring is fixedly connected with the piston. The other end of the spring is fixedly connected with the bottom cover. The piston is fixedly connected with a pistonrod. The piston rod penetrates through the end cover, extends out of the working cylinder and then is fixedly connected with a collision head. The piston comprises a piston iron core and a magnet exciting coil. The magnet exciting coil is wound in a groove formed in the piston iron core. The two ends of the magnet exciting coil extend out of the bumper from through holes formed in the piston rod through leads. The axial cross section of the piston iron core is arranged in the shape of a big-end-up isosceles trapezoid. The outer wall of the piston iron core is parallel to the inner wall of theworking cylinder. A gap is formed between the outer wall of the piston iron core and the inner wall of the working cylinder. An annular liquid storage cavity is formed in the cylinder wall of the lower end of the working cylinder and communicates with an inner cavity of the working cylinder through a channel. The inner cavity of the working cylinder is filled with a magnetic control damping material. The damping parameters of the bumper can be adjusted by adjusting the intensity of an electromagnetic field, and the performance of the collision bumper is effectively improved.
