Neuro-thrombectomy catheter and method of use

InactiveUS20020133111A1Avoid cloggingEnergy intensiveElectrotherapyCatheterThrombusCavitation
A microcatheter for removing thromboemboli from cerebral arteries in patients suffering from ischemic stroke. The microcatheter provides an extraction lumen that can be scaled to a very small diameter that is still capable of extracting and emulsifying thrombus without clogging the channel. The microcatheter of the invention uses a series of spaced apart energy application mechanisms along the entire length of the catheter's extraction lumen to develop sequential pressure differentials to cause fluid flows by means of cavitation, and to contemporaneously ablate embolic materials drawn through the extraction lumen by cavitation to thereby preventing clogging of the lumen. The catheter system thus provides a functional high-pressure extraction lumen that is far smaller than prior art catheter systems. Preferred mechanisms for energy delivery are (i) a laser source and controller coupled to optic fibers in the catheter wall or (ii) an Rf source coupled to paired electrodes within the extraction lumen. Each energy emitter can apply energy to fluid media in the extraction channel of the catheter-wherein the intense energy pulses can be sequentially timed to cause fluid media flows in the proximal direction in the channel.

Autonomous Space Flight System and Planetary Lander for Executing a Discrete Landing Sequence to Remove Unknown Navigation Error, Perform Hazard Avoidance and Relocate the Lander and Method

An autonomous unmanned space flight system and planetary lander executes a discrete landing sequence including performing an initial velocity braking maneuver to remove velocity at altitude, coasting during which the planet surface is imaged and correlated to reference maps to estimate cross-track and along-track navigation errors and one or more lateral braking maneuvers are performed to reduce cross-track navigation error, and performing a terminal velocity braking maneuver(s) to reduce the along-track braking maneuver and remove the remainder of the velocity just prior to landing. A bi-propellant propulsion system provides a very high T/M ratio, at least 15:1 per nozzle. Short, high T/M divert maneuvers provide the capability to remove cross-track navigation error efficiently up to the maximum resolution of the reference maps. Short, high T/M terminal velocity braking maneuver(s) provide the capability to remove along-track navigation error to a similar resolution and remove the remaining velocity in a very short time window, approximately 3-15 seconds prior to touchdown. The propulsive efficiency frees up mass which can be allocated to a fuel to remove the unknown navigation errors, perform hazard avoidance and/or relocate the lander by flying it to another site or be allocated to additional payload.

Security management method, program, and information device

In a state in which a fingerprint authentication mode is set, a fingerprint authentication unit authenticates a fingerprint input in accordance with an input instruction, performs unlocking if the authentication is successful, instructs another fingerprint input if the authentication fails, and determines unauthorized use and switches the mode to a PIN code authentication mode if the fingerprint authentication sequentially fails for a predetermined number of times. In a state of the PIN code authentication mode, a PIN code authentication unit authenticates a PIN code input in accordance with an input instruction, performs unlocking if the authentication is successful, instructs another PIN code input if the authentication fails, and determines unauthorized use and turns off the power source if the authentication sequentially fails for a predetermined number of times. Furthermore, when the power source is turned on again after the PIN code authentication unit has turned off the power source, the fingerprint authentication unit sets a state in which the fingerprint authentication mode is set, and keeps the fingerprint authentication mode even if the fingerprint authentication fails sequentially for a predetermined number of times.

Force sensor assembly

A force sensor assembly includes a force sensor, a first support member, a threaded portion, an opening made in the first support member, a nut, a restricting member and a spacer. The nut is screwed onto the threaded portion which is inserted through the opening. The restricting member is provided between the force sensor and the nut. The spacer, which is provided between the force sensor and the nut, is deformable in a direction of its thickness. The shape of the spacer is adapted to avoid interference with the restricting member. Before the nut is tightened onto the threaded portion, a summation of thickness for the first support member and the spacer is adapted to be not less than a height of the restricting member. The nut is tightened up with a predetermined fastening torque until the spacer deforms so that the nut strikes the restricting member.

Cost-efficient clothes dryer

A clothes dryer that is operatively attached to a heating system is illustrated. The clothes dryer receives heated fluid when the dryer is turned on. The dryer has a radiator that receives the heated fluid from the circulating fluid flow system. The fluid-filled radiator radiates heat into a clothes-drying chamber, which forms part of a motor-driven, rotating drum. The rotating drum tumbles the clothes as heat is projected into the drying chamber, thus driving the moisture from the clothes.

The invention discloses an intelligent video analyzing method for pedestrians crossing zebra stripes. The intelligent video analyzing method comprises the following steps that (1) a video analyzing system is arranged near the zebra stripes and is started regularly at preset time points, and cameras collect video information data in real time and transmit the video information data to a video analyzer; (2) the video analyzer analyzes the video information data and judges states of traffic lights, the intruder alarming function of an intelligent alarming module is started if the red light is turned on, and the prompt information playing function of the intelligent alarming module is started if the green light or the yellow light is turned on; (3) the video analyzing system is closed at preset time points, and the video information data of the day are stored before the video analyzing system is closed. By means of the scheme, the unique intelligent video analyzing method for the urban zebra stripe traffic lights and the moving pedestrians is achieved, the intrusion on the pedestrians crossing the zebra stripes is detected when the red light is turned on, and intelligent audio and video alarming is conducted according to detecting results.
