Method for transmitting and receiving control information in a mobile communication system supporting multimedia broadcast/multicast service

Disclosed is a method for efficiently transmitting and receiving control information messages necessary for a Multimedia Broadcast / Multicast Service (MBMS) provided in a mobile communication system. The method includes setting information elements for the control information messages to reduce unnecessary signaling overhead during the transmission of the control information. The method prevents a user equipment (UE) from performing duplicate reception on the control information, thereby reducing power consumption of a battery.

Short-range wireless system and method for multimedia tags

A short-range wireless system and method is disclosed to store and transfer a new type of multimedia data construct called a tag. A user can write text, create a voice clip and append it to the text, take a digital picture and append it to the text, to create a multimedia file as the content of a tag. The creation or modifying of the multimedia file can be done in the user's mobile wireless device or off line and then stored in the mobile device. The multimedia file is then incorporated into the tag or it can be referenced by a pointer in the tag. The multimedia file is artistic expression of the user and the tag uniquely associates the user's identity with the multimedia file by prohibiting alteration of the content after the user completes its creation. A content-originator flag (CFG) value in the tag is set to “false” during the period when the user is creating or modifying the tag's content. When the user completes editing the content of the tag, the content-originator flag (CFG) value is set to true, thereby freezing the content. The tag includes the user's ID, such as his / her international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) or mobile station ISDN number (MSISDN). Subsequent viewers of the content can make a copy of the content and can then modify it, but they cannot authentically attribute the modified copy to the original user. The system can be implemented as a wireless personal area network (PAN) such as provided in the Bluetooth Standard or a wireless local area network (LAN) such as provided in the IEEE 802.11 Wireless LAN Standard and the HIPERLAN Standard.

Method of providing an authenticable time-and-location indication

A method of providing an authenticable time-and-location indication using a radio-navigation signal receiver comprises receiving radio-navigation signals broadcast from a plurality of radio-navigation signal sources, at least some of the radio-navigation signals containing one or more cryptographic tokens protected by encryption, the cryptographic tokens being updated from time to time. The receiver retrieves, by decryption, the cryptographic tokens from the radio-navigation signals containing them. The receiver then determines positioning data, representing its geographical position and time, based on the radio-navigation signals received. The receiver generates a digital authentication code using a cryptographic function taking as inputs at least the positioning data and the retrieved cryptographic tokens, and produces a data package including a first part containing the positioning data and a second part containing the digital authentication code.

Low power signal processing for spread spectrum receivers

A direct sequence spread spectrum architecture permits low power consumption during a synchronization phase of data reception by allowing the receiver to be turned off during most of the acquisition phase of reception, or by using a parallel correlator to keep acquisition time short. The architecture is particularly suitable for global positioning satellite (GPS) signal processing and permits multiple satellite codes and multiple Doppler bins to be searched either sequentially, without requiring the receiver to be turned on during the search process. The receiver output baseband data is sampled and stored over a time interval sufficient to achieve acquisition and synchronization for any one code division multiple access (CDMA) signal at any specific Doppler shift. This sample is digitally recorded and re-played from memory as many times as may be required to acquire and synchronize each desired CDMA signal. To keep processing energy consumption low, an analog (capacitor-based) cross-correlator is used. The order of coherent and non-coherent processing for all code-Doppler channels is chosen to maximize energy efficiency while minimizing required processor hardware.

Multi-source user generated electronic data integration in a blockchain-based transactional system

A system is provided for aggregating user generated electronic data associated with a user from a plurality of computing machines located separately without user intervention. Metadata associated with the user generated electronic data is stored in an electronic record repository database to perform natural language processing and metadata analysis of the user generated electronic data to identify user verified data and user unverified data. A data object including query statements and approval options is generated and presented on a remotely located display unit accessible by the user. An input against each of the plurality of query statements is received. The system updates the unverified data based on the received input. The user generated electronic data is then pushed into the electronic transactional system which may communicate electronic data messages among a plurality of computer stations.
