The invention provides a macadamia nut green peel extract, namely macadamia nut green peel polyphenol or macadamia nut green peel aqueous extract which is prepared with the following method: taking macadamia nut green peel powder, adding warm water for water extraction three times, then adding 5% sulfuric acid, keeping quenching for 24h, and filtrating; washing a filter cake with deionized water to remove residual sulfuric acid until the washing liquid is neutral, and obtaining the macadamia nut green peel polyphenol; or washing macadamia nut green peel original crude drug coarse powder with water, putting into boiling water, boiling for 30min, stopping heating, keeping the water temperature at 60 DEGC-70 DEG C, performing ultrasonic extraction for 1h, centrifuging an aqueous extraction liquid at 2000r / min for 4min to obtain a supernatant liquid, then concentrating the supernatant liquid to thick paste, and obtaining the macadamia nut green peel aqueous extract. The macadamia nut green peel extract is used for preparing toning lotion and toning cream. The invention also provides application of the macadamia nut green peel polyphenol or macadamia nut green peel aqueous extract to preparation of cosmetics, as well as application to preparation of a tyrosinase inhibitor and preparation of an antioxidant.
