According to the arrangement of the superconductive filter (1), a columnar resonating member (23) having a superconductive material formed on the surface thereof is attached at one of its ends thereof to an inner wall (22) of a filter housing (21) so that a space is interposed between the columnar resonating member and each of connectors (27a, 27b) which are connectable to a signal input / output cables (5a, 5b), respectively. According to this arrangement, heat conduction from the outside can be suppressed as far as possible, and the superconductive condition can be created with stability, with the result that a stable filtering characteristic can be created. Further, the superconductive filter according to the present invention will become excellent in power withstand performance, and hence even if the number of stages of filters is increased for attaining a steep cutoff characteristic, the loss deriving from the increased number of stages can be suppressed to the minimum level.

Disclosed is a miniaturized superconducting filter with multiple transmission zero points, which is miniaturized while guaranteeing inner linearity phase characteristics of the pass band and outer high steepness of the pass band. The miniaturized superconducting filter consists of three groups of micro-strip resonators in cascade connection, each group includes four micro-strip resonators in cascade connection, and each resonator consists of an interdigital slow-wave structure and a clip resonance structure. A non-contact coupling micro-strip line is arranged between two resonators in each group, and the fourth resonator and the seventh resonator share the same node cross-coupling structure. The effective length of each resonator of the filter is one second of wavelength, and the substrate materials of the filter are MgO. The number of resonators for realizing six transmission zeros is reduced to 10 from 12 by the shared node cross-coupling structure, so that the filter is further miniaturized, and the problem of overlarge size of the existing filter with multiple transmission zeros is solved. Accordingly, the structure of the miniaturized superconducting filter is more applicable to manufacturing high-performance-index superconducting filters with multiple transmission zero points.

The resonator includes: (a) a dielectric substrate; (b) a ground plane including a layer of conductive material formed on the bottom surface of the substrate; (c) an inductor formed on the top surface of the substrate and connected to the input and output ends; and (d) a series capacitor connected in parallel to the inductor, wherein the series capacitor includes two patches of conductive material formed on the top surface of the substrate, each patch being connected to one respective end of the resonator. Each patch also forms a shunt capacitor with the ground plane, and the capacitance of the shunt capacitor constitutes the majority of capacitance between the ground plane and the end of the resonator that is connected to the patch. The conductive material may be a superconductor, including oxide superconductors. Filters utilizing multiple resonators of the invention are also described. The integration of the series and shunt capacitors results in a more compact resonator and filter layout, allows broader manufacturing tolerances, and allows for more layout flexibility than is attainable with the technology of the prior art.

Compared with other known iron-based superconductors, the material has higher bidimensionality. The material has electronic carrier characteristics, carrier concentration of 1,020 to 1,022 / cm<3> and superconductive transformation temperature of about 40K. An upper critical magnetic field of the material at a low temperature is estimated to be greater than 250 teslas, so that the material is probably applied to superconductive power transmission, strong magnetic field generation and the like.
