A gasket system for sealed interfaces utilizes a carrier ring having inner and outer compression stops to account for and control flange rotation effects in order to achieve a uniform and constant gasket seating stress across the sealing region. The inner compression stop provides a fixed fulcrum for flange rotation. The inner and outer compression stops have different heights, dependent upon the characteristic flange rotation, that allow the orientation of the sealing material to be angularly matched to the flange side profile and that allow the sealing material to be fully captured within the sealing region upon full compression, minimizing creep relaxation. A visual compression indicator on the circumference of the carrier ring permits assembly of the interface without the use of specialized or calibrated tools.

Synthetic resin bottle

The technical problem to be solved by this invention is to design a bottle shape that improves the bottle rigidity and strength in the lateral direction, without increasing the cost of material required to thicken the bottle wall. The object of this invention is to provide a synthetic resin bottle at a low cost in such a way that the bottles can be used smoothly on the carrier line, in the vending machines, and in storage on the stacks with no deformation, and are capable of performing a vacuum-absorbing function enough to be used in hot filling. Multiple pillar sections in a projected strip-like shape are disposed on the body of a synthetic resin bottle, wherein the pillar sections are inclined spirally at a uniform angle of gradient (α) relative to central axis of the bottle and disposed in parallel to one another, so that the cylindrical body wall is prevented from being deformed by the pressure force that acts in a lateral direction.

In-vehicle power transmission device and power transmission system for vehicle

An in-vehicle power transmission apparatus is equipped with a motor-generator working as an engine to drive a vehicle and a power split device made up of a plurality of power split rotors. A first one of the rotors is coupled to a driven wheel of the vehicle, while a second one of the rotors is coupled to an accessory such as an air compressor of an air conditioner. The speed of the second rotor is controllable independently of that of the driven wheel. This eases restrictions on the supply of power produced by the generator-motor to the accessory. Alternatively, the rotors are so linked that when the speed of the first rotor is not zero (0), the speed of the second rotor has one of zero (0) and a value other than zero (0), thus ensuring the stability in supplying the power to drive the vehicle to the accessory.
