The invention provides a preparation method and application of a self-supporting Pd-Ag-Ni ternary
metal catalyst. The preparation method comprises the following steps: step 1, pretreating
nickel foam; step 2, taking the pretreated
nickel foam as a substrate, immersing the pretreated
nickel foam into an AgNO3 precursor solution, enabling
metal Ni and Ag+ to carry out galvanic substitution, forming a
metal Ag layer on the surface of foam Ni to obtain Ag substituted nickel foam, cleaning with ultra-pure water, and
drying for subsequent use; and step 3, taking out the Ag substituted nickel foam, immersing the Ag substituted nickel foam in a K2PdCl4 precursor solution, enabling metal Ag on the nickel foam in the step 2 and [PdCl4] 2- to carry out partial galvanic substitution, taking out, cleaning with ultra-pure water, and
drying to obtain the self-supporting Pd-Ag-Ni ternary
metal catalyst. The prepared self-supporting Pd-Ag-Ni ternary
metal catalyst has excellent activity to electrocatalytic oxidation of
methanol in an alkaline environment, and has good application prospect in the field of low-temperature
methanol fuel batteries.
