Methods and Materials for Golf Course Sand Bunker Construction

A method for building and renovating golf course sand bunkers to improve infiltration of water through a drainage system reduces the chance of contamination of the sand and to reduce erosion and maintenance and provide consistent playable sand for golf. The bunker is built to slopes based on the sand selected for use. A drainage system and a layer of fine pea gravel is installed over the entire floor of the bunker. A pre-polymer is sprayed onto the layer of pea gravel to secure it in place. The polymer sprayed bunker is permitted to cure for approximately 24 hours. A sufficient amount of bunker sand is added and compacted so the entire bunker is covered. Washed sod is placed around the bunker to stabilize the edge of the bunker.

Microelectronic device drying devices and techniques

Improved methods of rinsing and drying microelectronic devices by way of an immersion processing apparatus are provided for effectively cleaning microelectronic devices. Methods and arrangements control the separation of one or more microelectronic devices from a liquid environment as part of a replacement of the liquid environment with a gas environment. Cleaning enhancement substance, such as IPA, is introduced into the gas environment according to a controlled profile while the separation step is conducted. The controlled profile being directed to the timing of introduction of cleaning enhancement substance, the concentration of cleaning enhancement substance and / or flow rates thereof into the vessel. Controlled timing of gas and cleaning enhancement substance delivery can also improve effectiveness of separation. Methods and arrangements are also provided for controlling a drying step to be conducted on the one or more microelectronic devices after they have been separated from a liquid environment by replacing the liquid environment with a gas environment. Preferably, an arrangement of gas distribution devices create one or more drying gas curtains, which gas curtains may be controllably directed with respect to a set of microelectronic devices to provide optimal drying of the microelectronic devices after being separating from a liquid.

Wafer holder and wafer conveyor system equipped with the same

The present invention is directed to a wafer holder and a related wafer conveyor system. The wafer holder holds a wafer and moves horizontally within a chamber. A contact area between the wafer and the wafer holder is reduced, and potential contaminants generated by ear between components of the wafer holder are trapped by an airtight cover. Since the wafer holder moves horizontally while being fixed to a guide rail, the wafer conveyor system reduces friction between the guide rail and the wafer holder.

Garment processing with biological sanitization and inspection procedures

Biological inspection procedures and surface sanitization procedures are incorporated with a garment providing service to look for and monitor the presence of microbes, such as bacteria in particular, and to eliminate such microbes within the garment service. Biological inspection procedures can be conducted on the garments themselves, or any surface of the garment facility, such as a surface onto which the garments may come into contact after laundering. Preferably, a washing procedure is conducted based upon a cleaning formulation to also minimize the presence of microbes. Garments are preferably inspected after they are laundered and ready for delivery to the customer. Facility surfaces, such as sorting and / or folding tables that may be utilized after laundering, are sanitized and then may be tested in accordance with the present invention to minimize the potential for contamination of garments from such surfaces. Optionally, the equipment that is used after laundering for such activities can be dedicated for processing garments in accordance with the biological inspection service as such garments are to be delivered to a customer, such as a processor within the food industry.

Optical position-measuring device

An optical position-measuring device for detecting the relative position of two objects includes a measuring standard connected to one object, and a scanning unit connected to the other object and including a light source, one or more grating(s), and a detector system. The detector system includes a plurality of detector element groups arranged in a detection plane, via which a plurality of position-dependent, phase-shifted scanning signals is able to be generated by scanning a periodic fringe pattern that results in the detection plane, the detector elements that have in-phase scanning signals forming a group in each case. The sum of the areas and the centroid of the detector elements of a group is identical to the sum of the areas and the centroid, respectively, of the detector elements of each other group. Periodic diaphragm structures are arranged in front of the light-sensitive areas of the detector elements.
