A combustor method and apparatus is provided. The method utilizes flameless combustion with one or more of three improvements to enhance ignition of the flameless combustor. A catalytic surface can be provided within a combustion chamber to provide flameless combustion at least in the vicinity of the catalytic surface at a temperature that is much lower than the autoignition temperature of fuel in air without the presence of the catalytic surface. Nitrous oxide or supplemental oxygen may also be used as an oxidant either instead of air or with air to reduce ignition temperatures. Further, electrical energy can be passed through the fuel conduit, raising the temperature of the conduit to a temperature above which the fuel will ignite when combined with the oxidant.

A disk drive is usable in a chassis having first and second guide channels mounted on side surfaces of the chassis. The disk drive includes a head disk assembly that includes first and second side walls. The disk drive further includes first and second side rails and a securing system for securing the side rails to the side walls. The first and second side rails engage the first and second guide channels, respectively, for supporting the disk drive within the chassis. The securing system includes an engagement mechanism and a double-sided adhesive resilient mechanism. The engagement mechanism projects between the first and second side rails and the first and second side walls, respectively, of the head disk assembly. The double-sided adhesive resilient mechanism is adhesively attached between the first side rail and the first side wall and between the second side rail and the second side wall for mounting the first and second side rails to the first and second side walls, respectively, of the head disk assembly. The securing system provides for relative movement between the side rails and the side walls to accommodate the side rails engaging the guide channels in the chassis. In one embodiment, the relative movement is a damped relative movement.

The invention disclosed herein generally concerns a lid for disposable or reusable beverage containers which facilitates access to the contents for addition of condiment and which enhances the users sensory perception of the state of such contents, without removal of the lid. The lid of the invention combines various sensory elements to simultaneously enhance the user's sensory responses of taste, smell, touch and sight during drinking with the beverage cup lid in place. The sensory elements comprise openings, transparent materials, shape and media, through which liquid and vapor can pass, and through which heat can, conduct or convect. In addition to the elements already described, the beverage cup lid of the invention comprises a physical element that allows the addition and stirring of condiments while the lid is fully installed on the cup. The invention disclosed herein integrates multiple elements of a press and lock on a beverage cup lid. The shape of the lid of the invention provides a thin rim simulating the thickness of a cup without a lid or a non-disposable ceramic or glass mug or cup. The lid disclosed herein provides a well deep enough to avoid contact between the nose and the lid in the drinking position, thereby allowing the user's head to remain more upright while drinking.

An adjustable hanger device includes an adjustable mounting bracket that may be sized for mounting the hanger to support members of various dimensions. The hanger device has a composite structure including both metallic and polymeric components. A clamp-type garment hanger defined by a pair of opposed jaw members between which a garment is hung. The opposed jaw members have gripping members and opposed gripping surfaces. The gripping members, opposed gripping surfaces and jaw members of one jaw member are formed from the same material, which may include either polystyrene, polypropylene, polyethylene, styrene-butadiene copolymers and blends, or polycarbonates. An over the door hook has a U-shaped bracket with at least one curved hook sized to receive a hook segment. Two or more plastic hook segments have an opening at an upper end and a curved hook at the lower end. The curved hook of one segment fits through the opening in another hook segment. The two segments are locked together by a tab or tooth in one segment that fits into a slot or recess in a second segment. An alternative is to provide a boss adjacent the opening at the upper end of one segment that is gripped by the curved hook of the second segment. A reinforced ground anchor including a spike, a pressure cap having a planar surface, a rod having a drive section at one end, and a swivel connection connecting said pressure cap with the rod. An opening is formed in the pressure cap. A guide is located adjacent the opening. The pressure cap engages flush with the surface of the ground, due to the action of the swivel connection, when the rod is positioned in the ground soil and the spike passes through the opening to engage in the ground soil at an acute angle. The apparatus works via a compressor and a circuit board, along with sensors, "gripper clips", small air hoses, latex gloves, and a stainless steel housing. The sanitized glove is inflated so the hand can be placed in the glove before usage. A hook grips the gloves after the medical worker is finished with them, removes them, and sanitizes them.
