Method for repeated authentication of a user subscription identity module

A method for improving an established Authentication and Key Agreement procedure which prevents rogue mobiles from fraudulently gaining access to a communication system. The communication system periodically broadcasts a challenge interrogation message requesting that a mobile, which is currently validated to use the system, to authenticate itself to the system. The mobile computes an authentication response based on information known only to the communication system and the USIM of the mobile and transmits said response to the communication system. The communication system also computes an authentication response and compares said response with that received from the mobile. A mobile is authenticated by the communication system when the two authentication responses are equal. Otherwise, the mobile is not given access to the communication system.

Method for Adapting a Downlink Transmit Power of a First Base Station Adapted for Serving a Closed Subscriber Group in the Presence of Second Base Station

Method for adapting a downlink transmit power of a first base station adapted for serving a closed subscriber group. It is described a method for adapting a downlink transmit power of a first base station adapted for serving a closed subscriber group. The method includes scanning a neighborhood of the first base station for a second base station adapted for serving an open subscriber group, wherein the first base station and the second base station use the same carrier frequency, detecting whether the second base station is present within the neighborhood of the first base station, and adapting the downlink transmit power of the first base station depending on the presence of the second base station. It is further described a base station, a computer-readable medium and a program element for carrying out the method.

A shear strain type pressure sensor comprises a shell. A magnetic field generating device in the shell comprises two magnetic poles which are opposite in magnetism and correspond to each other oppositely. A shear plate is arranged in the gap between the two magnetic poles, a rubber sheet is fixed on one side of the shear plate and in full contact with the end face of the first magnetic pole in the two magnetic poles, and a first electrode is fixed on the other side of the shear plate and fixedly provided with a magnetorheological elastomer. A second electrode is fixed on the other side of the magnetorheological elastomer, the second electrode is fixedly connected with the end face of the second magnetic pole in the two magnetic poles, the first electrode and the second electrode are electrically connected with a signal conditioning module, one end of the shear plate upwards extends to penetrate through an S-shaped force measuring piece and then extends out of the upper end face of the shell, a supporting plate used for supporting the S-shaped force measuring piece is fixed in the shell, a stop piece is arranged on the shear plate, and the lower end face of the stop piece is in contact with the upper end face of the S-shaped force measuring piece. The shear strain type pressure sensor is high in resolution, high in sensitivity, and large in force testing range.

Isolated hydrogen production process

A method for operating a hydrogen production process with reduced incidents of hydrogen explosions by separating a hydrogen production step from a heat source by locating the hydrogen production step and the hydrogen heat source a substantial distance apart. Costs are not significantly increased by the substantial distance due to the fact that elevated temperatures are not required for the hydrogen generation step, and therefore heat loss is not an issue during the transportation of reaction compounds across the distances.

A system and method are provided for securely transferring data between applications over a network. According to one embodiment, a receive site address on a server is selected based on a first IP address / object filter table and a desired security level. A data payload for transmittal is defined the data payload is encrypted for transfer and the encrypted data payload is transmitted from a send site address over a network to the receive site address. The transmitted encrypted data is only received at the receive site address by decrypting the data payload and accepting the data based upon a second IP filter table and the address of the send site.
