Methods And Systems For Semiconductor Metrology Based On Polychromatic Soft X-Ray Diffraction

Methods and systems for performing measurements of semiconductor structures based on high-brightness, polychromatic, reflective small angle x-ray scatterometry (RSAXS) metrology are presented herein. RSAXS measurements are performed over a range of wavelengths, angles of incidence, and azimuth angles with small illumination beam spot size, simultaneously or sequentially. In some embodiments, RSAXS measurements are performed with x-ray radiation in the soft x-ray (SXR) region at grazing angles of incidence in the range of 5-20 degrees. In some embodiments, the x-ray illumination source size is 10 micrometers or less, and focusing optics project the source area onto a wafer with a demagnification factor of 0.2 or less, enabling an incident x-ray illumination spot size of less than two micrometers. In another aspect, active focusing optics project programmed ranges of illumination wavelengths, angles of incidence, and azimuth angles, or any combination thereof, onto a metrology area, either simultaneously or sequentially.

A Soft Computing (SC) optimizer for designing a Knowledge Base (KB) to be used in a control system for controlling a suspension system is described. The SC optimizer includes a fuzzy inference engine based on a Fuzzy Neural Network (FNN). The SC Optimizer provides Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) structure selection, FIS structure optimization method selection, and teaching signal selection and generation. The user selects a fuzzy model, including one or more of: the number of input and/or output variables; the type of fuzzy inference model (e.g., Mamdani, Sugeno, Tsukamoto, etc.); and the preliminary type of membership functions. A Genetic Algorithm (GA) is used to optimize linguistic variable parameters and the input-output training patterns. A GA is also used to optimize the rule base, using the fuzzy model, optimal linguistic variable parameters, and a teaching signal. The GA produces a near-optimal FNN. The near-optimal FNN can be improved using classical derivative-based optimization procedures. The FIS structure found by the GA is optimized with a fitness function based on a response of the actual suspension system model of the controlled suspension system. The SC optimizer produces a robust KB that is typically smaller that the KB produced by prior art methods.

The invention relates to heat treatment of polymorphic semicrystalline or crystallizable polymers to increase the content of the highest melting crystalline form. Such heat treatment results in a polymer powder that has a consistent, uniform melting range, improved flow and improved durability of the powder particle size for applications that require powder flow at elevated temperatures. In addition to improved powder properties, the articles produced from the powders also exhibit better physical properties in both appearance and in mechanical properties. Thus the invention also includes polymer powders and articles produced by the described processes.

Based on the mixture ratios, a CPU (49) generates an oil mixture by controlling flow regulating valves (23, 24) in a blender (13). When the oil mixture is supplied to the engine (14) as a pressurizing pump (32) operates, the viscosity is detected by a viscometer (33). The CPU (49) adjusts the mixture ratios based on the detection result, such that the viscosity of the oil mixture satisfies the viscosity condition and that the content of a fuel oil having the highest viscosity among the fuel oils in the oil mixture is maximized.

Method of maximizing epigallocatechin gallate content in tea

This invention describes a new method to maximize the epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) content of brewed tea made using leaves and buds from C. sinensis. Unlike conventional tea processing methods, the method of the invention aims to minimize the leaf withering step, the oxidation step and any heating steps, all of which are present in many conventional tea processing methods. The method of the invention treats minimally withered tea leaf and bud material with an acid treatment and then a maceration treatment, optionally freezing the acid-treated material for storage purposes. The brewed tea resulting from the acid-treated and macerated leaves has a significantly higher EGCG content than conventionally produced teas.
