The dimming control unit generates at least one dimming control signal having a dimming frequency which is a multiple of a frame rate of the liquid crystal display panel. The backlight module driving circuit periodically drives the lighting devices in sequence according to the dimming control signal.

An inspection apparatus and inspection method for liquid crystal display devices are disclosed, wherein a final inspection for completely manufactured liquid crystal display devices is performed using a visual-light inspection apparatus, whereby high productivity due to improved inspection accuracy and reduced inspection time can be accomplished. With the inspection apparatus and inspection method, defects of a plurality of glass panels can be automatically inspected based on analyzed information of an entire screen of each glass panel using a plurality of vision cameras, whereby improved inspection accuracy and improved product quality can be accomplished and reduced inspection time can result in improved productivity of liquid crystal display devices. Further, by quantifying screen defects of the plurality of glass panels, defects of glass panels due to failures of manufacturing processes or design failures and other problems attendant on the defects can be prevented.

The present invention provides a back light module, having an optical element, a light source and an outer supporting means. The optical element includes main body and protrusions which protrude from an edge of the main body. Contiguous protrusions with the main body form a positioning groove. The conjunction region between protrusion and main body is a fillet. The outer supporting means fixes the optical elements and the light source, which has at least one positioning component disposed on the edge of the back plate. The positioning component includes one inner wall near to edge of the main body, a side wall near to the protrusion and a transition wall connecting the side wall and the inner wall. A separate distance g between the fillet and the side wall so that the optical element can be prevented from cracking during the impact or shock test of the back light module.

Siphon for Delivery of Liquid Cryogen from Dewar Flask

The invention involves a siphon for delivery of a liquid cryogen from a container such as a Dewar flask. The siphon ensures delivery of a liquid cryogen with a lower proportion of the gaseous fraction. The siphon comprises a central feeding conduit, which is largely contained within the Dewar flask. There is an auxiliary conduit surrounding the central feeding conduit; the outer upper section of this auxiliary conduit is provided with an adjustable valve intended to release a gaseous fraction of the cryogen contained in the annular gap between the auxiliary and central feeding conduits. The upper section of the central feeding conduit is provided with an external layer of a porous capillary coating or with a wick; this ensures that the upper section of the central feeding conduit is continuously wetted with the liquid cryogen. This porous capillary coating prevents gasification of the liquid cryogen in the central feeding conduit. Alternatively, the problem of liquid cryogen gasification may be solved through thermal insulation of the central feeding conduit.
