An apparatus and method of control for converting DC (direct current) power from a solar photovoltaic source to AC (alternating current) power. A novel DC-to-AC power converter topology and a novel control method are disclosed. This combination of topology and control are very well suited for photovoltaic microinverter applications. Also, a novel variant of this control method is illustrated with a number of known photovoltaic DC-to-AC power converter topologies. The primary function of both control methods is to seek the maximum power point (MPP) of the photovoltaic source with novel, iterative, perturb and observe control algorithms. The control portion of this invention discloses two related control methods, both an improvement over prior art by having greatly improved stability, dynamic response and accuracy.

For one type of embodiments, in accordance with the top-down scanning of the LCD device, the corresponding horizontal lines of the LEDs of the backlight module are turned off in a certain manner so that they exhibit a lighting (or, more precisely, darkening) pattern as if they are also “scanned” from top to down. For another type of embodiments, the horizontal lines of the LEDs of the backlight module are turned off and on simultaneously so that the backlight module actually “flashes” the LCD device.

A policy decision function evaluates the reported detected intrusions and makes a determination whether one or more policy changes are required on the enforcement devices in response to a detected intrusion. A policy manager function configures the distributed enforcement devices with the responsive changed policy or policies. Policy changes rules can vary from no change to complete port blocking on one or more identified enforcement devices associated with the detected intrusion, to redirecting the associated traffic including the intrusion and these policies may be modified or removed over time as warranted by network operation.

A combined pressure and temperature transducer (10) particularly adapted for high temperature fluids has a sensing element assembly mounted at the tip of a tubular probe (20) which is arranged for placement in a fluid flow path. A sensing element (12) includes a pressure responsive diaphragm (12g) closing the open end of the tubular probe and being provided with piezo-resistive gauge elements bonded to the diaphragm. Wires are bonded between the gauge elements and a first, heat resistant, printed circuit board (PCB). The first PCB, together with the piezo-resistive elements, form a Wheatstone bridge. An inner connector (26) mounts elongated, axial stress absorbing contacts connecting the first PCB at one end of the inner connector with a second printed circuit board (PCB) mounted at the opposite end of the inner connector physically removed from the sensing element and first PCB and away from the fluid flow path. The second PCB mounts signal conditioning and amplifying electronics. An outer connector (38) and housing (42) mounts the second PCB and provides an electrical interface with transducer.

The energy feeding type dragging power supply device has the advantages of moderate cost, capability of solving the technical problems of feeding back a regenerated braking energy and stabilizing a dragging network voltage, and real-time static reactive power compensation capacity.

An LED controller determines programmed current levels and duty cycles for driving LED strings. The LED controller determines a predicted load for a subsequent cycle of a switching power converter driving the LED strings based on the programmed current levels and duty cycles. A power conversion controller uses the predicted load information to control switching of the switching power converter. On the basis of boundary layer wind tunnel test data of a rigid model, a finite element model is utilized to calculate that relaxed Froude number similarity criterion of transmission towers, the influence of the elastic stiffness of a transmission line and two kinds of variable proportion transmission line models upon wind-induced response is changed, an aeroelastic model with long span is designed. The influence of material nonlinearity and gradient wind height of concrete filled steel tube onwind-induced response is further analyzed by the finite element model. The method has the advantages that the aeroelastic model of long span can be reasonably designed by increasing the elastic stiffness of the transmission line and adopting an accurate line length similarity ratio; consideration of the material nonlinearity of concrete-filled steel tubes has little effect on wind-induced response at design wind speed, and the wind-induced response decreases when considering the gradient wind height.

The whole carbon-based resistive flexible pressure sensor is of a film-shaped structure, the flexibility is high, and the pressure sensor can work normal in any bending angle; the sensitivity is high, and the strain coefficient ranges from 2.1 to 3; pressure measurement ranges widely from 10Pa to 900kPa; the resolution is very high, dynamic response is super-rapid, and dynamic high-frequency pressure signals reaching 10kHz can be measured; and the stability is high, and the pressure sensor passes more than 8000 repeated stability test. The pressure sensor is simple in preparation technology, low in equipment cost, suitable for wearable equipment, and can be used for measurement of physical quantities as pressure and strain.
