Three-dimensional 3D visualization kit

The 3D visualization kit helps visualize concepts relating to points, surfaces, planes, curves, contours, and vectors in three dimensions. The kit is an inexpensive solution provided along with accompanying materials for its use that will allow students to effectively visualize concepts in three dimensions and aid in understanding important calculations in multivariable calculus eliminating the abstraction normally associated with concepts in three dimensions.

Method, apparatus and system for displaying topology information of wireless sensor network

A method, apparatus and system for displaying topology information of a wireless sensor network includes a plurality of sensor nodes. The method typically includes: receiving node information collected and extracted from the sensor nodes; comparing the received node information with stored node information; computing, when the received node information is unequal to the stored node information, visualization information on a sensor node whose information is not present in the stored node information; and displaying the sensor nodes on concentric circles using the visualization information.

Manufacturing optimization platform and method

A platform and method for optimizing manufacturing comprising a service box, an application server, an agent server, and a cloud server. The service box is coupled to sensors on a production machine. The service box receives appropriate data from the sensors and transfers the data to the cloud server in real-time. The agent server comprises a plurality of analysis tools and management tools that have been developed by and downloaded from the application server. The analysis tools and management tools comprise applications that analyze sensor data and produce effective results to manage production efficiency and maximize overall equipment effectiveness. The cloud server utilizes the analysis tools and management tools available on the agent server or available directly on the cloud server with the sensor data received in real-time from the service box to obtain results. The analysis results are provided to a client device by the cloud server.

Ultrasonographic device

An ultrasonographic device includes an ultrasonic wave transmitter / receiver section which transmits and receives ultrasonic waves to and from a test subject through a probe, a phasing addition circuit which controls the phase of the received ultrasonic wave and generates RF signal frame data, an RF signal frame data selection section which makes variable the frame interval of the RF signal frame data to be outputted, and an elastic image generating section which sets the optimum imaging range for each elastic frame data generated based on the RF signal frame data and generates elastic image.

Method for visualizing freeform surfaces by means of ray tracing

The invention relates to visualizing freeform surfaces, like NURBS surfaces, from three-dimensional construction data via Virtual beams from a virtual camera are sent out of a virtual image plane in a scene having at least one object and at least one freeform surface. Lighting values are calculated for each point where a beam intersects the freeform surface. The lighting values are then attributed to the pixels associated with the different points of intersection. The freeform surface is defined by two parameters (u, v), and related equations define all points of the surface of the freeform surface The subdivision of the freeform surface for determining the intersections with the beams based on the two parameters (u, v) is regular, so that the surface fragments form meshes of a two-dimensional grid of the freeform surface in the parameter space.

Method for conceptualizing protein interaction networks using gene ontology

Provided is a method for conceptualizing protein interaction networks. The method conceptualizes and simplifies complicated and enormous protein interaction networks wherein the method comprises the steps of (a) conceptualizing protein nodes that form the protein interaction network as gene ontology concepts to reconfigure the network; (b) integrating nodes including the same concepts in the reconfigured network into one node to generate the network by means of exact match; and (c) integrating several nodes having similar concepts in the generated network into one node to reconfigure the generated network by means of approximate match.
