Display device

When light generated in a light emitting layer of a display device is emitted through insulating films such as a planarizing film, an interlayer insulating film and a gate insulating film of a transistor, diffused reflection is caused due to slight-rough surfaces of the insulating films every time light passes through each insulating film. Accordingly, problems are caused in which stray light is caused, an outline of a pixel becomes indistinct, and a characteristic of the transistor is deteriorated. A display device according to the invention includes a transistor formed over a substrate, an insulating film with a light shielding property formed on the transistor, an opening for transmitting light therethrough formed in the insulating film with the light shielding property, and a light emitting element formed overlapping the opening.

Use of Beam Deflection to Control an Electron Beam Wire Deposition Process

A method for controlling an electron beam process wherein a wire is melted and deposited on a substrate as a molten pool comprises generating the electron beam with a complex raster pattern, and directing the beam onto an outer surface of the wire to thereby control a location of the wire with respect to the molten pool. Directing the beam selectively heats the outer surface of the wire and maintains the position of the wire with respect to the molten pool. An apparatus for controlling an electron beam process includes a beam gun adapted for generating the electron beam, and a controller adapted for providing the electron beam with a complex raster pattern and for directing the electron beam onto an outer surface of the wire to control a location of the wire with respect to the molten pool.

High efficiency secondary and back scattered electron detector

An assembly for a charged particle detection unit is described. The assembly comprises a scintillator disc, a partially coated light guide a thin metal tube for allowing the primary charged particle beam to pass through and a photomultiplier tube (PMT). The shape of scintillator disc and light guide are redesigned to improved the light signal transmission thereafter enhance the light collection efficiency. A light guide with a conicoidal surface over an embedded scintillator improved the light collection efficiency of 34% over a conventional design.

It is an object of the present invention to mount a focusing mechanism of a camera device on a vehicle without bringing the mechanism in contact with a worker's hands in an in-focus state of a lens system in the camera device having an eyelid part for preventing stray light covering part of a lens, and to improve the beauty and increase mounting flexibility. In a camera cover according to the present invention, a cylinder body (21) of the camera cover (10) covers most including the first half portion of the volume of the camera device, and the cylinder body (21), a frame body (23), an eyelid part (25) and / or an eyelid part (26), and a housing part (27) are integrally molded. Beauty seen from the front can be improved, and the beauty will not be spoiled when the camera device (12) is displaced together with the camera cover (10) and mounted.

Optical encoder and collimator lens

In an optical encoder which is designed to convert light generated from a light source into parallel light rays by using a collimator lens, thereby allowing the collimated light to radiate to gratings (a first grating, a second grating and a third grating), a diffusion means (a diffusion plate or a diffusion surface) is provided between the light source and the collimator lens to mitigate the parallelization degree of light, thereby weakening the second-order and the third-order or high-order diffraction light. Thereby, even where a light emitting diode (LED) or laser diode (LD) is used as the light source, a favorable interference output can be obtained.

Grouping method of unmanned buses

The invention provides a grouping method of unmanned buses. By means of road cameras and station in-and-out records, a road requirement is monitored in real time, and analytical prediction is performed according to information supplied by a traffic department, thereby generating a unmanned bus grouping requirement. A computer generates a grouping instruction according to the grouping requirement and transmits to a junction station, and the junction station dispatches the unmanned buses to leave. In the operation process of the unmanned buses, an environment sensing system which is loaded in ahead vehicle senses a series of peripheral information and transmits to an on-vehicle computer for analysis and transmitting a behavior instruction. The subsequent vehicle simplifies a series of complicated sensing analysis processes and mainly depends on communication transmission with the head vehicle for receiving and executing the instruction.

Optical scanner and image-forming device

An scanning unit scanner includes a light source and a polygon mirror unit. A front-to-rear rib is disposed between the light source and the polygon mirror unit and near the polygon mirror unit. An input side opening having a slit shape is formed as a cutout in the top edge of the front-to-rear rib. When laser light from the light source passes through the input side opening, the input side opening restricts the width of the light in a main scanning direction.

Non-reflective imaging optics for optical devices, particularly in ophthalmology

Imaging optics for optical devices, with which reflections of the illumination light, which is guided through the same optical elements as the observation light, are kept from reaching the observation pupil of the imaging beam path. The non-reflective imaging optics include at least two refractive optical elements, which are utilized for illumination as well as observation. The at least two refractive optical elements are designed approximately wedge-shaped and are tilted at a random azimuth angle of at least 5° and / or are positioned off-center in the beam path to block out the single reflections of the illumination, occurring at the optical system surfaces, for the observation. The imaging optics are for optical devices, particularly in ophthalmology thought the invention is applicable to other ophthalmological devices as well as to optical devices outside of this field.
